Godzilla (Marc Cerasini Series)
''Godzilla'' is a series of novels written by author Marc Cerasini, based on the film series of the same name produced by Toho. While all set within the same continuity (a unique continuity in which only the first ''Godzilla'' film has taken place), each novel has its own plot and storyline, with Toho's ''kaiju'' featured as the stars. ''Godzilla Returns'' ''Godzilla Returns'', the first novel in the series, was published in 1996. The story follows the reemergence of Godzilla for the first time since 1954, rampaging and destroying the city of Tokyo. The book is clearly set to follow ''Godzilla, King of the Monsters!'' (the English version of the original ''Godzilla'' film), as Steve Martin (Raymond Burr's character) is said to have been present during the original attack. The finale of the novel is similar to the 1984 film ''The Return of Godzilla'', as Godzilla is drawn away from the city using a lure identical to the one used in that film. Bob Eggleton
Bob Eggleton (born September 13, 1960) is an American science fiction, fantasy and horror fiction, horror artist. Eggleton is a nine-time Hugo Award–winner for Best Pro Artist in science fiction and fantasy, first winning in 1994. He won the Hugo Award for Best Related Book in 2001 for his art book ''Greetings from Earth''. He also won the Chesley Award for Artistic Achievement in 1999 and was the guest of honor at 58th World Science Fiction Convention, Chicon 2000. His illustrations have appeared in Dark Horse Comics, Random House ''Godzilla'' books, IDW Publishing, IDW’s ''Godzilla'' comic series and on covers for ''Famous Monsters of Filmland'', ''G-Fan'' & ''Japanese Giants'' magazines. Mothra
is a fictional monster, or '' kaiju'', which first appeared as the title character in Ishirō Honda's '' 1961 film of the same name'', produced and distributed by Toho. Mothra has appeared in several Toho ''tokusatsu'' films, often as a recurring monster in the ''Godzilla'' franchise. Baragon
is a fictional monster, or ''kaiju'', which first appeared in Ishirō Honda's 1965 film '' Frankenstein vs. Baragon'', produced and distributed by Toho. Moguera
is a 1957 Japanese epic science fiction film directed by Ishirō Honda, with special effects by Eiji Tsuburaya. Produced and distributed by Toho Co., Ltd., it is the first Honda-Tsuburaya collaboration filmed in both color and TohoScope, and stars Kenji Sahara, Yumi Shirakawa, Momoko Kōchi, Akihiko Hirata, Yoshio Tsuchiya, Susumu Fujita, and Takashi Shimura, with Haruo Nakajima and Katsumi Tezuka as Moguera. In the film, Earth's defense forces unite to combat an extraterrestrial race that desires to intermarry with human women and settle on the planet. Mechagodzilla
is a fictional mecha character, or monster, that first appeared in the 1974 film ''Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla''. In its debut appearance, Mechagodzilla is depicted as an Extraterrestrials in fiction, extraterrestrial villain, a robot created by alien invaders to confront and destroy Godzilla. In subsequent iterations, Mechagodzilla is usually depicted as a man-made artificial weapon designed to defend Japan against Godzilla and other kaiju. Mechs
In science fiction, or mechs are giant robots or machines, typically depicted as piloted, humanoid walking vehicles. The term was first used in Japanese (language), Japanese after shortening the English loanword or , but the meaning in Japanese is more inclusive, and or 'giant robot' is the narrower term. Anguirus
is a fictional monster, or ''kaiju'', which first appeared in ''Godzilla Raids Again'' (1955), the second film in the ''Godzilla'' franchise. Anguirus is the first monster to be shown engaging in combat with Godzilla in a film.
