''God's Creatures'' is a 2022 psychological drama film directed by Saela Davis & Anna Rose Holmer and screenplay by Shane Crowley, based on a story he wrote with producer Fodhla Cronin O'Reilly. It stars Emily Watson, Paul Mescal, Aisling Franciosi, Declan Conlon, Toni O'Rourke, Marion O'Dwyer, Brendan McCormack, and Lalor Roddy. The film premiered at Directors' Fortnight of the Cannes Film Festival on 19 May 2022. Anna Rose Holmer
Anna Rose Holmer (née Farrell) is an American director and writer. She began her career in the camera department before directing her feature debut '' The Fits'' (2015). She collaborated with Saela Davis on the Irish film '' God's Creatures'' (2022). Early life Holmer was born in Pawling, New York. She was raised by her mother, an art teacher, and her father, a piano tuner. She attended Oakwood Friends School in Poughkeepsie. She was introduced to film as a teenager through a photography workshop in Maine. She went on to study Film with a concentration in Cinematography at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, graduating in 2007. Career In 2014 Holmer pitched the idea of her film '' The Fits'' to Biennale College Cinema. She was awarded a grant and proceeded to make her film on a microbudget. British Independent Film Award For Best Music
The British Independent Film Award for Best Music is an annual award given by the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) to recognize the best music in a British independent film. The award was first presented in the 2001 ceremony though it did not become a regular category until 2017. Prior to 2017, music was awarded as a stand-alone category in 2001 but it was included in the category Best Technical Achievement the next year alongside different areas of crafts in film, this category was presented from 2001 to 2016.
