The Germany national handball team is the country's national men's handball team and represents Germany in international tournaments in men's handball and is one of the most successful handball teams in the world, having won three World Championships and two European Championship. The German Handball Association (German language, German: ''Deutscher Handballbund'') (DHB) is the national handball association of Germany. DHB organizes team handball within Germany and represents German handball internationally. It was founded on the 1st of October 1949. The association has been a member of the International Handball Federation (IHF) since 1950 and the European Handball Federation (EHF) since 1991, just after the country's unification.
