German Women's Cricket Team In Austria In 2020
The Germany women's cricket team toured Austria in August 2020 to play a five-match bilateral Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) series. The matches were played at the Seebarn Cricket Ground in the Seebarn subdivision of Harmannsdorf, Lower Austria. The series was the first women's international cricket to be played since the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Final on 8 March 2020, following widespread disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Austria had last played a match in a quadrangular series in France in August 2019, and Germany had last played an international match during their visit to Oman in February 2020. Andrea-Mae Zepeda
Andrea-Mae Zepeda (born 24 October 1995) is an Austrian cricketer and medical doctor. She plays for her national cricket team as an all-rounder. In 2019, she captained the team in its first ever Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I). In 2021, she became the first player to score a century for Austria in a WT20I. In January 2022, Zepeda was named as the ICC Women's Associate Cricketer of the Year by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Karthika Vijayaraghavan (born 18 April 1988) is an Indian-born cricketer who plays for the Germany women's national cricket team as a wicket-keeper-batter. Early life Vijayaraghavan was born in Ambur, Tamil Nadu, India. As a child, she lived in Indiranagar, east Bangalore (Bengaluru), Karnataka, and participated in gully cricket on its streets, but did not play the game in a formal sense. Anne Bierwisch (born 26 December 1987) is a German toxicologist and cricketer who plays for the national cricket team as a batter. She was the first player, male or female, to take a hat-trick for Germany in a Twenty20 International.
