GenesisCare (not to be confused with Genesis Health System of Iowa, or Genesis HealthCare of Pennsylvania) is the largest provider of cancer care services in Australia, and have cancer treatment centers in the United States, United Kingdom, and Spain. The company was founded by Dan Collins in Brisbane in 2005. China Resources Group and Macquarie Capital bought 56% of the company for A$1.7 billion in July 2016. At that time, it was said to be treating more than 2,500 patients a day in more than 150 locations. The doctors and managers have a substantial stake in the business. It plans to continue to expand in the United Kingdom, Spain, China and the USA. Australia The company operates Oncology services in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia including in two large public hospitals on behalf of the state government of Western Australia. Genesis Health System
Genesis Health System is a non-profit health system based in Davenport, Iowa. The system provides health services to multiple communities in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois 6 different hospitals. Genesis is the largest employer in Scott County, Iowa and the third largest in the Quad City area with 5,200 employees. Its President and CEO is Doug Cropper. History Genesis originally consisted of two hospitals that joined on May 24, 1994, to form the system. The two founding hospitals were Mercy Hospital and St. Luke's Hospital, both in Davenport, Iowa. The former was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in response to an influenza outbreak in the area in 1869. Today, Genesis operates a total of five hospitals and manages Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa, IA. Elstree
Elstree is a large village in the Hertsmere borough of Hertfordshire, England. It is about northwest of central London on the former A5 road, that follows the course of Watling Street. In 2011, its population was 5,110. It forms part of the civil parish of Elstree and Borehamwood, originally known simply as Elstree. The village often lends its shorter name to businesses and amenities in the adjacent town of Borehamwood, and the names of Elstree and Borehamwood are used interchangeably. Elstree is perhaps best known for multiple Elstree Film Studio complexes, where many films were made, including BBC Elstree Centre, where the TV soap opera '' EastEnders'' is shot.
