General Secretary Of The Mongolian People's Party
The Chairman of the Mongolian People's Party () is the Party leader, leader of the Mongolian People's Party (formerly the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party), established on 3 March 1921. With some exceptions, the office was synonymous with the leader of the Mongolian People's Republic, the one-party socialist state which existed from 1924 to 1992. The office has had several names: Chairman of the Central Committee (1921–1928; 1990–1992), General Secretary of the Central Committee (1940–1954; 1981–1990), First Secretary of the Central Committee (1954–1981), and Secretary General of the Party Leadership Council (1992–1997). Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene
Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene (; born 29June 1980) is a Mongolian politician who served as the 31st prime minister of Mongolia from 2021 to 2025. He was elected to the State Great Khural (Parliament) three times from 2016 to 2025. After losing a vote of no confidence amid the 2025 Mongolian protests, Luvsannamsrain resigned on 3June and served as a caretaker until his successor, Gombojavyn Zandanshatar, was appointed on 13 June 2025. The State Great Khural re-appointed Luvsannamsrain as the prime minister of Mongolia on 5July 2024, following Mongolian People's Party's third-term election victory in the 2024parliamentary election. Peljidiin Genden (; 1892 or 1895 – November 26, 1937) was a Mongolian politician and statesman who served as the first president of Mongolia from 1924 to 1927, and the ninth prime minister of the country from 1932 to 1936. As one of three MPRP secretaries, Genden was responsible for the swift compulsory implementation of socialist economic policies in the early 1930s. In 1932, he was granted Joseph Stalin's support to become prime minister, but then increasingly resisted pressure from Moscow to liquidate institutional Buddhism and permit increased Soviet influence in Mongolia. Gombojavyn Ochirbat (; born 15 November 1929) is a Mongolian politician and trade union leader. He was the General Secretary of the ruling Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party in March and April 1990 amid democratic constitutional reforms, and was then its Chairman from April 1990 to 1991. Jambyn Batmönkh (, ; 10 March 1926 – 14 May 1997) was a Mongolian communist political leader and economics professor. He was the leader of Mongolian People's Republic from 1984 until its transition into democracy in 1990. Early life Batmönkh was born in Khyargas sum of Uvs aimag on 10 March 1926. Yumjaagiin Tsedenbal (; 17 September 1916 – 20 April 1991) was a Mongolian politician who led the Mongolian People's Republic from 1952 to 1984. He served as General Secretary of the ruling Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party from 1940 to 1954 and again from 1958 to 1984, as Chairman of the Council of Ministers (head of government) from 1952 to 1974, and as Chairman of the Presidium of the People's Great Khural (head of state) from 1974 to 1984. Dashiin Damba (; 29 March 1908 – 1989) was a Mongolian politician who was the First Secretary of the ruling Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party from 1954 to 1958 during the brief period of collective leadership in the country after the death of Khorloogiin Choibalsan. Banzarjavyn Baasanjav (; 1906–1940) was General Secretary of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party from 1936 to 1940. Dorjjavyn Luvsansharav (; 1900 – July 30, 1941) was Secretary of the Mongolian People's Party, Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP) from 1932 to 1937 and served as Chief Secretary from 1933 to 1934.
