Gangsta (manga)
''Gangsta'' (stylized as ''GANGSTA.'') ( Japanese: ギャングスタ, Hepburn: ''Gyangusuta'') is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kohske. It has been published in Shinchosha's monthly magazine '' Comic Bunch'' since March 2011. The series has inspired a spin-off manga, an audio drama series, an anime television series, and an original novel. The anime series was the last to be produced by animation studio Manglobe before its bankruptcy. Synopsis Setting The story of ''GANGSTA.'' takes place in the city of Ergastulum (エルガストルム, ''Erugasutorumu''), a place filled to the brim with hoodlums, prostitutes, and dirty cops. Hepburn Romanization
is the main system of Romanization of Japanese, romanization for the Japanese language. The system was originally published in 1867 by American Christian missionary and physician James Curtis Hepburn as the standard in the first edition of his Japanese–English dictionary. Ayumu Murase
is a Japanese voice actor who was formerly affiliated with the agency VIMS. Biography Murase was born in the United States, but grew up in Aichi, Japan. He lived in Aichi until graduating from high school, after which he attended university in Kyoto Prefecture. Later, he moved to Tokyo. Dog Tag
Dog tag is an informal but common term for a specific type of identification tag worn by military personnel. The tags' primary use is for the identification of casualties; they have information about the individual written on them, including identification and essential basic medical information such as blood type and history of inoculations. They often indicate a religious preference as well. Dog tags are usually fabricated from a corrosion-resistant metal. They commonly contain two copies of the information, either in the form of a single tag that can be broken in half, or as two identical tags on the same chain. This purposeful duplication allows one tag, or half-tag, to be collected from an individual's dead body for notification, while the duplicate remains with the corpse if the conditions of battle prevent it from being immediately recovered.
