G'nort
G'nort (pronunciation: "nort") Esplanade G'neesmacher is a character appearing in DC Comics. He is a member of the Green Lantern Corps and later a Darkstar and a member of the Justice League Antarctica. He resembles an anthropomorphic dog and is generally incompetent and used as comic relief. G'nort has made limited appearances in media outside comics, with Alexander Polinsky voicing him in '' Batman: The Brave and the Bold''. Publication history G'nort first appeared in '' Justice League International'' #10 (February 1988), and was created by Keith Giffen and J. M. DeMatteis. His appearance and personality were modeled after Ed Norton from '' The Honeymooners''. Super Buddies
Super Buddies are a team of comic book superheroes in the DC Comics universe who appear in the six-issue ''Formerly Known as the Justice League'' miniseries in 2003, and its 2005 sequel, ''I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League'' (published in ''JLA Classified''). The team is put together by former Justice League bank roller Maxwell Lord as a superhero team "accessible to the common man". The team is considered more or less inept and incapable of being of any help by many (including the actual Justice League). The team was created by writers Keith Giffen and J. M. DeMatteis, and artists Kevin Maguire and Josef Rubinstein. The first Darkstars were a group of intergalactic policemen that appeared in comic books published by DC Comics. They were introduced in ''Darkstars'' #1 (October 1992 in comics, 1992), and were created by Michael Jan Friedman and Larry Stroman. They patrol the farthest reaches of the DC Universe at the behest of the Guardians, a race of immortals residing on the planet Oa. ''Planetary'' is an American comic book series created by writer Warren Ellis and artist John Cassaday, and published by the Wildstorm imprint of DC Comics. After an initial preview issue in September 1998, the series ran for 27 issues from April 1999 to October 2009. Publication history ''Planetary'' was previewed in issue #33 of '' Gen13'' and issue #6 of ''C-23'', both dated September 1998. The first issue of the series was cover-dated April 1999. Originally intended to be a 24-issue bi-monthly series, the series was on hold from 2001 to 2003 due to illness of writer Warren Ellis and other commitments by Cassaday.
