Fatma Sultan ( ota, فاطمہ سلطان, "''One who abstains";'' or before – '') ''was an Ottoman princess, daughter of Selim I and Hafsa Sultan. She was the sister of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. Biography She was first married in 1516 to Mustafa Pasha, governor of Antakya; however they divorced when it turned out that he was homosexual and had no interest in her. Then, she married in 1522 to Kara Ahmed Pasha, who was the Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire between 1553 and 1555, and they had two daughters. After his execution, she went to live in Bursa or, according to other sources, was forcibly married in 1555 to Hadim Ibrahim Pasha, presumably as a punishment for her intrigues. However, it turned out to be the happiest of all her marriages. Fatma Sultan built a mosque in Topkapı. Fatma died around 1556 Haremden Mektuplar. and was buried in Kara Ahmed Pasha's tomb. Fatma Sultan ( 1559 – October 1580; ota, فاطمہ سلطان, "''One who abstains''") was an Ottoman princess, daughter of Sultan Selim II (reign 1566–74) of the Ottoman Empire and his favorite Nurbanu Sultan (but her maternity is disputed). She was the granddaughter of Suleiman the Magnificent (reign 1520–66) and Hurrem Sultan, sister of Sultan Murad III (reign 1574–95) and aunt of Sultan Mehmed III (reign 1595–1603). Early life Fatma was born circa 1559 during Selim's princedom, at Konya or Karaman where he served as sanjakbey, or provincial governor, at the time. She was her father's youngest daughter. Fatma Sultan ( ota, فاطمہ سلطان, "''One who abstains''") was an Ottoman princess, daughter of Sultan Murad III (reign 1575–1595) and Safiye Sultan, and sister of Sultan Mehmed III (reign 1595–1603) of the Ottoman Empire. Early life Fatma Sultan was a daughter of Sultan Murad III, and his consort Safiye Sultan. She had two full brothers, Sultan Mehmed III, and Şehzade Mahmud, and two full sisters Ayşe Sultan, Hümaşah Sultan. Her other possibly full siblings were Şehzade Selim and Mihrimah Sultan. Fatma Sultan ( ota, فاطمه سلطان; "''one who abstain''"; 1 November 1840 – 26 August 1884) was an Ottoman princess, the daughter of Sultan Abdulmejid I and one of his consort Gülcemal Kadın and the full sister of Sultan Mehmed V of the Ottoman Empire. Early life Fatma Sultan was born on 1 November 1840 in the Beşiktaş Palace. Her father was Sultan Abdulmejid I, and her mother was Gülcemal Kadın, a Bosnian. She was the second child and eldest daughter born to her father, and the eldest daughter born to her mother.
