Fashapuyeh District
Fashapuyeh District ( fa, بخش فشاپویه) is a district (bakhsh) in Ray County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 29,343, in 7,325 families. The District has one city: Hasanabad. The District has two rural districts (''dehestan''): Hasanabad Rural District and Koleyn Rural District. Shur Fashapoye River The Shore River originates from Zanjan Province and after passing through Qazvin Province, southwest of Tehran Province and Zarandieh City, it reaches Ray City. The famous branches of this river are: Kherrud, Abharrud, Kordan, Surud in Zarandieh city. The long, salty river crosses the width of Ray city with a northwest-southeast direction. This river passes 6 km south of Hassan Abad Feshapoyeh and flows into the salt marsh east of the Sultan Pool lake in Qom. A ( fa, بخش, also romanized as ) is a third-level administrative division of Iran. While sometimes translated as "county," it is more accurately translated as "district," similar to a township in the United States or a district of England. Ray, Iran
Shahr-e Ray ( fa, شهر ری, ) or simply Ray (Shar e Ray; ) is the capital of Ray County in Tehran Province, Iran. Formerly a distinct city, it has now been absorbed into the metropolitan area of Greater Tehran as the 20th district of municipal Tehran, the capital city of the country. Historically known as Rhages (), Rhagae and Arsacia, Ray is the oldest existing city in Tehran Province. In the classical era, it was a prominent city belonging to Media, the political and cultural base of the Medes. Hassan Abad
Hasan Abad ( fa, Hasan Ābād, script=Latn – ), also spelled Hasanabad, is an old and historical area within the Monirie District of Tehran, Iran. There is also a famous square in the area which carries the same name. History The area was originally developed during the reign of the Qajar dynasty. Hasanabad Square was built by the order of Mirza Yusef Ashtiani, the vizier of Naser ed Din Shah, and was named after his son, Mirza Hasan Ashtiani, who then became the Prime Minister of Iran for a period. Following the 1979 Revolution, the square was renamed to ''The 31st of Shahrivar'', in commemoration of the invasion of Iraqi bombers to the Iranian air bases. However, the new name did not remain and it has been reverted to ''Hasan Abad''. Once there was a statue at the square, which represented the Qajar-era constitutional activist Malek ol Motekallemin.
