''Famous'' is the third studio album by American alternative rock band Puddle of Mudd. It was released on October 9, 2007 on Flawless Records. ''Famous'' was originally set to be released in May, but was pushed back to add more songs to the album. The title track provided the album's lead single in May 2007. " Psycho", " We Don't Have to Look Back Now" and "Livin' on Borrowed Time" would follow in November, then May and August 2008. ''Famous'' debuted at number 27 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' 200, selling about 31,000 copies in its first week. The album had sold around 363,000 copies in the US by the time Puddle of Mudd released their next album, '' Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate'' (2009). Douglas John Ardito (born March 10, 1971) is an American musician who was a member and played guitar as well as bass guitar for the band Puddle of Mudd. He is a Fender Musical Instruments endorsed artist. Career Ardito co-wrote Puddle of Mudd's biggest single, "Blurry". ''Guitar One Magazine'' voted Ardito's harmonic guitar part in "Blurry" as one of the "Top Ten Riffs of the Decade". Wesley Reid Scantlin (born June 9, 1972) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist, guitarist, and only constant member of rock band Puddle of Mudd. He was named one of the "Top 100 Heavy Metal Vocalists" by ''Hit Parader''. Career Scantlin formed Puddle of Mudd in 1991. Hinder is an American rock band from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, formed in 2001 by lead singer Austin John Winkler, guitarist Joe "Blower" Garvey, and drummer Cody Hanson with bassist Mike Roden and guitarist Mark King joining in 2003, solidifying the line-up. Operator is an American post-grunge band from Los Angeles, California, United States. The name Operator was used for a solo project created by Johnny Strong, an actor and musician, who has appeared in movies such as '' Black Hawk Down'' (2001), ''The Fast and the Furious'' (2001), ''Get Carter'' (2000) and ''The Glimmer Man'' (1996). Paul Phillips (guitarist)
Paul James Phillips (born June 26, 1975) is an American guitar player and songwriter, most famous for being a member of the band Puddle of Mudd from 2001 to 2005 and again from 2009 to 2011. He has also played in the bands Happy Hour, Operator, Society Red and Rev Theory. He is currently working on a new project called The Fallout Collective, DJing on The Fox 107.7, and had a guest appearance on the TV show ''Real Fear'' on Chiller.
