Fábio Lopes Alcântara (; born 24 March 1977), or simply Fábio Lopes, is a former Brazilian-born Hong Kong professional footballer who played as a centre back. Club career He played as a striker for Eastern, having signed from Happy Valley in August 2007. On 17 May 2018, Fabio announced his retirement at the annual Hong Kong Football Awards. However, on 4 June 2018, Yuen Long chairman Wilson Wong stated that Fabio had reversed his decision, and would become a player-coach for the club the following season. He was appointed as Assistant Manager from 15 July 2018 until 31 May 2020. Following Yuen Long's self-relegation, Fabio joined Pegasus as a player-coach on 14 June 2020. Fábio Miguel Rico Lopes (born 10 January 1993) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Club career Born in Lisbon, Lopes played youth football for a host of clubs, including Real Betis from Spain where he won the junior national championship. He made his senior debut with C.D. Tondela, his first game in the Segunda Liga taking place on 4 March 2013 when he came on as a late substitute in a 2–0 away loss against C.F. União. Lopes signed with Primeira Liga team Boavista F.C. in June 2014. He never appeared in any competitive matches for them, being successively loaned to S.C. Farense and S.C. Salgueiros 08. Fábio Jardel Veríssimo Lopes (born 7 December 2001) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward for Hungerford Town. Career Lopes began his career with Sporting CP before moving to English non-league club Bicester Town in 2015. After spending time with Brackley Town he joined the academy of Oxford United in April 2018. He made his debut on 14 August 2018 in the EFL Trophy, becoming the club's third-ever youngest player. He featured in four games in a week in the 2019–20 pre-season. He joined AFC Rushden & Diamonds on loan in February 2020, before joining Biggleswade Town on a one-month youth loan in September 2020. In January 2021 a proposed loan move to Chippenham Town fell through after he was injured.
