Fuzhou–Xiamen Railway
The Fuzhou–Xiamen railway or Fuxia railway (; Foochow Romanized: ''Hók-â Tʰiā-le̤'') is a dual-track, electrified, higher-speed rail line in eastern China. The line is named after its two terminal cities Fuzhou and Xiamen, both coastal cities in Fujian. The line has a total length of and forms part of China's Hangzhou–Fuzhou–Shenzhen passenger-dedicated railway. Construction began in 2005, and the line entered into operation on April 26, 2010. The line is used for both passenger and freight operations. Trains running on the line reached top speeds of , although that was later reduced to . Route The Fuzhou–Xiamen railway follows the rugged but prosperous coast of Fujian with 14 stations between Fuzhou South Station and Xiamen Station including Fuqing, Hanjiang, Putian, Xianyou, Quanzhou, Jinjiang, Xiamen North, Xinglin and Xiamen Gaoqi. Fuzhou–Xiamen High-speed Railway
The Fuzhou–Xiamen high-speed railway is a railway that runs between the cities of Fuzhou, Xiamen and Zhangzhou in Fujian Province, China. History In 2015, it was announced that a second high-speed railway line between Fuzhou, Xiamen and Zhangzhou would be constructed, as the existing Fuzhou–Xiamen railway was at capacity. Construction began in 2017. The railway opened on 28 September 2023, with the inaugural bullet train, Fuxing G9801, departing from Fuzhou at 9:15 a.m. local time. Chinese state media has previously touted the railway as part of a broader regional integrated development plan with Taiwan, with potential expansion of the railway into Taiwan through what would be the world's longest undersea tunnel beneath the Taiwan Strait. These plans have been dismissed by Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council. Xiangtang–Putian Railway
Xiangtang–Putian railway or Xiangpu railway (), is a Class I higher-speed railway in eastern China linking Nanchang and Fúzhou (福州), the provincial capitals, respectively, of Jiangxi and Fujian Province. The line is named after Xiangtang, a township south of Nanchang, which was originally slated to serve as a terminus, and Putian, on the coast of Fujian, at which the southern branch of the Xiangpu railway terminates. The line actually begins at the Lehua East Station, a rail junction for the Beijing–Kowloon and Nanchang–Jiujiang intercity railways north of Nanchang. The line heads south to Nanchang West Railway Station and bypasses Xiangtang on its way to Fǔzhou (抚州). After entering Fujian, the line forks at Yongtai with the northern fork heading to Fúzhou (福州) and the southern fork going to Putian. The Port of Fuzhou is a natural seaport centered on the estuary of the Minjiang River artificial deep-water international seaport on the coast of Fuzhou, Fujian, People's Republic of China. and of the neighboring prefecture of Ningde. The Port is located on the southeastern coast of Fujian, facing the Taiwan Strait. Fuzhou is the Mainland port closest to Taiwan, being just 149 Nautical miles from Keelung.
