Lois Jane Frankel ( ; born May 16, 1948) is an American politician and lawyer who has been the United States representative for Florida's 22nd congressional district since 2023, having previously served it from 2013 to 2017. As a member of the Democratic Party, she represented the 21st congressional district from 2017 to 2023, was a 7-term member of the Florida House of Representatives, and was mayor of West Palm Beach for two terms. Frankel was a member of the Florida House for fourteen years, serving as Minority Whip and later Minority Leader of the Florida State House. Benjamin Frankel (31 January 1906 – 12 February 1973) was a British composer. His best known pieces include a cycle of five string quartets, eight symphonies, and concertos for violin and viola. He was also notable for writing over 100 film scores and working as a big band arranger in the 1930s. During the last 15 years of his life, Frankel also developed his own style of twelve-tone technique, 12-note composition which retained contact with tonality. Naomi Frankel (; 20 November 1918 – 20 November 2009), also spelled Fraenkel and Frenkel, was a German-born Israeli novelist. Born in Berlin, she was evacuated to Mandatory Palestine with other German-Jewish children in 1933. She became a member of Kibbutz Beit Alfa, where she lived until 1970.
