Fort D'Aubervilliers (Paris Métro)
Fort d'Aubervilliers () is a station of the Paris Métro. It is named after the old Fort d'Aubervilliers, one of the 16 forts built between 1841 and 1845 as the first belt of defence at a cannonball's distance outside Paris' 19th century wall. History The station opened on 4 October 1979 following an extension from Porte de la Villette. The station served as the temporary terminus of the line until the opening of the second stage of the extension, to La Courneuve - 8 May 1945, which opened in 1987. In 2019, the station was used by 3,889,085 passengers, making it the 123rd busiest of the Métro network out of 302 stations. In 2020, the station was used by 2,328,764 passengers amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, making it the 98th busiest of the Métro network out of 305 stations. Paris Métro Line 7
Paris Métro Line 7 is one of sixteen lines of the Paris Métro system. Crossing the capital from its north-eastern to south-eastern sections via a moderately curved path, it links in the north with and in the south, while passing through important parts of central Paris. Line 7 began operating in 1910 and, along with Line 13, is one of only two Métro lines that splits into branches. Originally, this was in the northeast and splitting at Louis Blanc, which was separated in 1967 to become Line 7bis. In 1982, a new branch was added in the southeast to Mairie d'Ivry, branching off at Maison Blanche. Line 7 has only steel rails. At , Line 7 is one of the longest in the Paris Métro network. Noctilien
Noctilien is the night bus service in Paris and its agglomeration. It is managed by the Île-de-France Mobilités (formerly the STIF), the Île-de-France regional public transit authority, and operated by RATP (with 32 lines) and Transilien SNCF (with 21 lines). It replaced the previous '' Noctambus'' service on the night of 20/21 September 2005, providing for a larger number of lines than before and claiming to be better adapted to night-time transport needs. In place of the previous hub-and-spoke scheme in which all buses terminated at and departed from the heart of Paris at Châtelet , Noctilien's new service includes buses operating between '' banlieues'' (the communes surrounding Paris proper) as well as outbound lines running from Paris' four main railway stations: Gare de l'Est, Gare de Lyon, Gare Montparnasse and Gare Saint-Lazare. Transdev TRA
The TRA bus network covers the Seine-Saint-Denis department in the Île-de-France region. It is operated by Transports Rapides Automobiles, which is owned by Transdev and is a member of Optile (Organisation Professionnelle des Transports d'Île-de-France). A 6-month trial of on-demand bus services was carried out from March to August 2018 by Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) in the outer suburbs. The service, which operated from 2200 at night, enabled passengers to alight between 2 bus stops, reducing the need to walk to their intended destination as well as to combat gender-based harassment in public transportation. A total of 11 routes were involved, consisting of the Mélibus network in Seine-et-Marne (7 routes) and the TRA network (4 routes: , , and ) in Seine-Saint-Denis. Parisine
Parisine is a typeface that was created by Jean-François Porchez and is distributed by Typofonderie. The typeface is used in Paris Métro, tramways and buses and the parts of RER parts that are operated by the RATP Group in Île-de-France. In 2015, the Osaka City Subway in Japan adopted Parisine as the Latin-character component of its new signage system, which is gradually being introduced throughout its network. Parisine The font was originally developed in 1996 as a custom typeface in Bold and Bold Italic developed for the RATP to improve signage legibility and space economy. The design was based on the proportions of Helvetica Bold but is condensed at 90%. In 1999, the font was extended to a font family for multiple uses like communication material and maps.
