Football At The 2022 South American Games – Men's Tournament
The men's tournament of the football at the 2022 South American Games was held from 4 to 12 October 2022 at the Complejo de Fútbol in Luque, Paraguay, a sub-venue outside Asunción. It was the ninth staging of the football men's tournament since its first appearance in the South American Games' first edition in Football at the 1978 South American Games, La Paz 1978. The tournament was officially restricted to under-19 players (born on or after 1 January 2003). The defending champions Chile national under-20 football team, Chile were unable to retain their title after being eliminated in the group stage. Paraguay national under-20 football team, Paraguay won the gold medal and their second South American Games men's football title after defeating Ecuador national under-20 football team, Ecuador by a 1–0 score in the final. Allan Steven Wlk Duré (born 1 March 2003) is a Paraguayan association football, footballer who plays as a striker for Celaya F.C., Celaya on loan from Club Olimpia, and the Paraguay national under-20 football team. Club career Olimpia Wlk played at Club Nacional as a child but started playing for Club Olimpia from the age of 14 years old. He broke numerous goal scoring records as a teenager including one period where he scored 130 goals in 3 seasons of youth football. He signed a professional contract with Olimpia in 2021 lasting until 2025. He made his league debut for Olimpia on 12 March 2023 in a 2-1 win against Club General Caballero (Juan León Mallorquín), Club General Caballero JLM.
