Fonds National D’Art Contemporain
The Fonds national d'art contemporain (FNAC; National Foundation for Contemporary Art) is a public collection of contemporary art in France. It does not hold exhibitions but acquires and stores works of art that it loans to Museum, museums, cultural institutions and temporary exhibitions in France and abroad. It is the largest collection of contemporary art in France. Collection FNAC is little-known, but is the largest collection of living art in France. As of 2014 it had 70,000 works of Visual arts, visual art, photography, decorative art and design. The FNAC has its origins in the ''Bureau des travaux d'art'' (Office of Art Works) created in 1878, which became the FNAC in 1976. In 1981 it became the responsibility of the ''Délégation aux arts plastiques'' of the Ministry of Culture (France), French Ministry of Culture. Jean-Baptiste Mallet
Jean-Baptiste Mallet (1759, in Grasse – 16 August 1835, in Paris) was a French painter in the Troubadour style. Life and work He originally studied with in Toulon, then with Pierre-Paul Prud'hon in Paris. His style shows the strong influence of Jean-Baptiste Greuze, Jean-Honoré Fragonard (also from Grasse) and Louis Léopold Boilly. He is also known to have studied 17th-century Dutch painting. Most of his works were gouaches and watercolors, done in relatively small formats, and consist largely of genre scenes depicting life under the Directorate and the First Empire. In 1795, he was commissioned by Pierre Didot to provide illustrations for an edition of La Fontaine's Fables. Preparatory sketches were made, but never used. He was an exhibitor at every Salon from 1793 to 1827; winning a second-class medal in 1812 and the first-class in 1817.

Pierre Aristide André Brouillet (; 1 September 1857 – 6 December 1914) was a French Academic art, academic painter specialising in genre painting, portraits and landscapes. Life Born in Charroux, Vienne, Charroux, the son of sculptor Pierre-Amédée Brouillet and Élisabeth Leriget, Brouillet began engineering studies at the École centrale Paris in 1876 before entering the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts three years later, where he was a student of Jean-Léon Gérôme.. Paul Gustave Louis Christophe Doré ( , , ; 6January 1832 – 23January 1883) was a French printmaker, illustrator, painter, comics artist, caricaturist, and sculptor. He is best known for his prolific output of wood-engravings illustrating classic literature, especially those for the Vulgate Bible and Dante's ''Divine Comedy''. These achieved great international success, and he became renowned for printmaking, although his role was normally as the designer only; at the height of his career some 40 block-cutters were employed to cut his drawings onto the wooden printing blocks, usually also signing the image. ''Christ in the Garden of Olives'' is an oil on canvas painting created in 1840 by French painter Théodore Chassériau. It was executed following a commission from the Ministry of the Interior. The large format painting was presented at the Salon of Paris, in 1840. After a transfer from the church of Saint-Jean-d'Angély, in Charente-Maritime, it was moved to the Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon. Description and analysis The work depicts the Christian iconographic subject of the Agony of Jesus in the Garden of Olives. In this painting, Jesus Christ is accompanied by three apostles: Peter, John and James the Greater. Théodore Chassériau
Théodore Chassériau (; ; September 20, 1819 – October 8, 1856) was a Dominican-born French Romantic painter noted for his portraits, historical and religious paintings, allegorical murals, and Orientalist images inspired by his travels to Algeria. Early in his career he painted in a Neoclassical style close to that of his teacher Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, but in his later works he was strongly influenced by the Romantic style of Eugène Delacroix. He was a prolific draftsman, and made a suite of prints to illustrate Shakespeare's ''Othello''.
