Florida's 10th Congressional District (since 2023)
Florida's 10th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Florida. It was reassigned in 2012, effective January 3, 2013, from the Gulf Coast to inland Central Florida. Before 2017, the district included parts of western Orange County, most of Lake County, as well as a northern section of Polk County. The current district is entirely within Orange County, and covers most of its western portion. It is situated along the Interstate 4 corridor. It includes most of the western half of Orlando. Other cities and towns wholly or partly within the district include Apopka, Belle Isle, Beulah, Eatonville, Harlem Heights, Ocoee, Oak Ridge, Orlo Vista, Winter Garden, and Windermere. Oak Ridge, Florida
Oak Ridge is a census-designated place and unincorporated area in Orange County, Florida, United States. The population was 22,685 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Oak Ridge is located at (28.474596, -81.420738). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of , of which is land and (4.87%) is water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 22,349 people, 7,389 households, and 5,379 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2,074.3/km (5,370.9/mi2). There were 7,791 housing units at an average density of 723.1/km (1,872.3/mi2). Wedgefield, Florida
Wedgefield is a census-designated place and an unincorporated area in Orange County, Florida, United States. The population was 6,705 at the 2010 census, up from 2,700 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Wedgefield is located at (28.484930, -81.081109). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 60.9 km (23.5 mi2), of which 60.7 km (23.4 mi2) is land and 0.2 km (0.1 mi2) (0.34%) is water. Wedgefield is bounded by SR 520 and SR 528 (Beachline Expressway), in a corner such that the two roads make a wedge shape where they meet. Bithlo
Bithlo is a census-designated place and an unincorporated community in Orange County, Florida, United States. The population was 8,268 at the 2010 census, up from 4,626 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Bithlo Post Office opened in 1922. For 20 years in the early 20th century, Bithlo was an incorporated town, but in 1929 ceased to function as a town due to economic hardship. By 1941, the town council meetings had ended and in 1944 the Okeechobee Railroad Branch was abandoned. After the end of World War II, the town became known as a waste dump and pollution site. It was in 1970 when the residents of Bithlo petitioned the state legislature to revoke the town's charter.
