In the television series, ''Miami Vice'', firearms took a key role. Episodes such as "Evan" revolved around them, while the characters themselves also used several firearms during the series. The Bren Ten is a semi-automatic pistol chambered for 10mm Auto that was made by Dornaus & Dixon Enterprises Inc. from 1983 to 1986. While the Bren Ten's design has an appearance similar to the 9×19mm Parabellum CZ-75, it is larger and stronger with several unique design elements that make it a distinctly separate firearm. The Smith & Wesson Model 36 (also known as the Chief's Special) is a revolver chambered for .38 Special. It is one of several models of J-frame revolvers.
