Kris Needs (born 3 July 1954) is a British journalist and author, known for writings on music from the 1970s onwards. He became editor of proto-punk and early punk rock ''ZigZag'' magazine in August 1977 at 23 and has since written biographies of musicians and rock stars, including Primal Scream, Joe Strummer and Keith Richards. Early life In 1972, Needs became the secretary of the Mott The Hoople fan club, the Sea Divers, which he ran from his home in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. "Can You Feel It" is a 1986 song by Larry Heard, Mr. Fingers and one of the first deep house records. Its seminal impact on deep house has been compared to Derrick May (musician), Derrick May's "Strings of Life" on Detroit techno. Production Larry Heard created "Can You Feel It" using the Roland Juno-60 synthesizer and the Roland TR-909 drum machine. In a 2017 interview with ''Vice (magazine), Vice'', he recalled, "I had two cassette decks—there were no digital recorders or even multi-track recorders—and I did one take, one pass, on one tape, then ran it back to the other one, played some other parts by hand that I wanted to add, and that was pretty much the recording process." Mystery Of Love (Larry Heard Song)
"Mystery of Love" is a house music song created by Larry Heard under the alias of Mr. Fingers - often regarded as the first ever deep house track. It was released by Heard's label Alleviated Records in 1985. The track was developed in 1984 after Heard felt his creative input was not being incorporated into the rock music cover bands he had been drumming in. This led to Heard buying a Roland Jupiter-6 and developing two tracks in one night: "Washing Machine" and "Mystery of Love" which he recorded to via tape cassettes.
