Anton Fils
Anton Fils (also Antonín Fils, Johann Anton Fils, Johann Anton Filtz), 22 September 1733 (baptized) – 14 March 1760 (buried) was a German classical composer. Fils was born in Eichstätt, in the Bishopric of Eichstätt, Bavaria. Long thought to have been of Bohemian origin (e.g., ), despite having been described as "from Bavaria" by Friedrich Wilhelm Marpurg in 1756, his true origins were discovered in the 1960s . Arthur Fils (; born 12 June 2004) is a French professional tennis player. He has a career-high singles ATP rankings, ranking of world No. 14 by the Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP, achieved on 14 April 2025 and a doubles ranking of No. 186, achieved on 6 January 2025. The fils (Arabic: فلس) is a subdivision of currency used in some Arab countries, such as Iraq and Bahrain. The term is a modern retranscription of ''fals'', an early medieval Arab coin. "Fils" is the singular form in Arabic, not plural (as its final consonant might indicate to an English speaker). Fils (river)
The Fils is a river in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, a right tributary of the Neckar. Its source is in the Swabian Alb hills near Wiesensteig. It flows through Geislingen (Steige) and Göppingen to join the Neckar east of Stuttgart, in Plochingen. Due to the contribution of the Fils, the Neckar is navigable from there. Geography Course The Fils has its source on the Swabian Alb about two kilometers southwest of the town Wiesensteig. Its karst spring, the Filsursprung, lies at 624.9 m in the Hasental valley, which has remained close to nature. There are two more springs a little further down, the Kleiner Filsursprung on the right and the Hasenquelle on the left at the foot of the slope. The young river - initially running in a north-easterly direction - crosses the community Mühlhausen im Täle after Wiesensteig, where the Hollbach flows on the left side and the Bundesautobahn 8 crosses the valley. Firestone Indy Lights Series
Indy NXT (pronounced "Indy Next"), previously Indy Lights, is an American developmental automobile racing series sanctioned by IndyCar, currently known as INDY NXT by Firestone for sponsorship reasons. Indy NXT is the highest step on the Road to Indy, a program of racing series leading up to the IndyCar Series. A similar series named Indy Lights filled the developmental role for the CART series, and ran from 1986 to 1993 as the American Racing Series and Dayton Indy Lights from 1991 to 2001. The current IndyCar sanctioned series was founded in 2002 as the Infiniti Pro Series as a way to introduce new talent to IndyCar, with the moniker Indy Lights returning in 2008 when CART and IndyCar unified.
