Festival De Las Máscaras (2017)
The Festival de las Máscaras (2017) (Spanish for "Festival of the Masks") was a major annual ''lucha libre'' event produced and scripted by the Mexican International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) professional wrestling promotion held on July 2, 2017. The show was held in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, which is IWRG's primary venue. For the 2017 event Bombero Infernal, Black Warrior, Cerebro Negro, Demonio Infernal, El Hijo del Diablo, Máscara Año 2000 Jr., Oficial 911, Oficial AK-47, Oficial Fierro, Veneno, and Villano IV all wore their masks again after having lost ''Luchas de Apuestas'', or "bet matches", in the past and thus lost the rights to wear their mask. Arena Naucalpan
Arena Naucalpan is an indoor sports arena located in Naucalpan de Juárez, Mexico located on Calle Jardín 19, Naucalpan Centro. The arena is primarily used for professional wrestling, or ''lucha libre'', mainly shows promoted by International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) but has also hosted a number of other promotions since its creation in 1977. Villano V
Raymundo Díaz Mendoza (March 22, 1962 – August 29, 2024), best known by his ring name Villano V (Spanish: "Villano Quinto"; English: "Villain the fifth"), was a Mexican '' luchador'' (or professional wrestler). Following his unmasking in 2009, he worked under the ring name Ray Mendoza Jr., as a tribute to his father Ray Mendoza. Díaz was part of a well-known Mexican wrestling family that includes four other ''Villanos'', I, II, III and IV. Villano III
Arturo Díaz Mendoza (March 23, 1952 – August 21, 2018), best known by his ring name Villano III (Spanish: "Villano Tercero"; English: "Villain the third"), was a Mexican '' luchador'' (or professional wrestler). A second-generation wrestler, he was son of ''luchador'' Ray Mendoza and the father of ''luchador enmascarado''s Villano III Jr. and El Hijo del Villano III. All five of the Díaz brothers used the Villano name; José de Jesús (Villano I), José Alfredo ( Villano II), Tomás ( Villano IV) and Raymundo ( Villano V). Miguel Angel Nava (born July 29, 1969) is a Mexican Luchador, or professional wrestler best known under the ring name, Mike Segura. North American fans knows Nava under the name Super Nova from his appearances in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Nava originally worked in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre's (CMLL) Minis division and held the CMLL World Mini-Estrella Championship but later moved into the regular division. Oficial Spartan is the current ring name of Victor Manuel Montés (born July 29, 1975 in Guerrero, Mexico), who is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). Cesar Caballero (born November 25, 1977) is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler. Working under the ring name Oficial Factor, he appears for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). Caballero previously worked under a number of other ring names including Mega, but they are not officially acknowledged, as the ''enmascarado'' character is promoted as a separate entity from his previous characters, which is often the case when a Mexican wrestler adopts a new masked character. Tomás Díaz Mendoza (born April 9, 1965), best known by his ring name Villano IV (Spanish: "Villano Cuarto"; English: "Villain the fourth"), is a Mexican ''luchador''.
