Festival International Du Film Amateur De Kélibia
The Festival International du Film Amateur de Kélibia (FIFAK, ''International Amateur Film Festival of Kélibia'') is an annual international film festival for amateur filmmakers at Kélibia, Tunisia. It was founded in 1964 as the oldest film event in Tunisia and is organised by the Fédération Tunisienne des Cinéastes Amateurs (FTCA, formerly Association des Jeunes Cinéastes Tunisiens, AJCT). The Tunisian Ministry of Cultural Affairs and the town of Kélibia lend their support. A number of later well-known filmmakers debuted at FIFAK, such as Salma Baccar (Tunisia), Ridha Behi (Ridha El Bahi, Tunisia), Ahmed Ben Kamla (Benkamla, Algeria), Ferid Boughedir (Tunisia), Sheila Graber (Great-Britain), Nanni Moretti (Italy), and (Venezuela). Kélibia
Kelibia (Kélibia) ( '), often referred to as Klibia or Gallipia by European writers, is a coastal town on the Cap Bon peninsula, Nabeul Governorate in the far north-eastern part of Tunisia. Its sand beaches are considered some of the finest in the Mediterranean. History Known in Roman times as Clypia or Clypea, () the town was founded by the Carthaginians as the fortified town of Aspis () in the 5th century BC. The Siege of Aspis in 255BC was the first battle of the First Punic War fought on African soil. Clypea was also the seat of an ancient Christian bishopric. At the Council of Carthage (411), which brought together Catholic and Donatist bishops, Clypea was represented by Bishop Leodicius and the Donatist Geminius. Hammam Lif
Hammam-Lif () is a coastal town about 20 km south-east of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. It has been known since antiquity for its thermal springs originating in Mount Bou Kornine. History Naro, which means fire, was Hammam-Lif's Punic name. In 1883, the French captain Ernest De Prudhomme discovered in his Hammam-lif residence the ruins of an ancient synagogue that once stood in Hammam-Lif in the 3rd-5th century, when it was part of the province of Africa Byzacena.
