Ferrari Challenge
The Ferrari Challenge is a One-Design, single-marque Auto racing, motorsport championship that was created in 1993, initially catering to owners of the 348 Challenge who wanted to race their cars. The first European season took place in 1993, with a North American series added in 1994. It now encompasses five official series in Europe, North America, Japan, The United Kingdom & Australasia. Competitors from each series are brought together at the annual World Finals (Finali Mondiali) event. In the course of more than 30 years of history, the one-make championship has featured nine cars from the Maranello marque: the 348 Challenge, F355 Challenge, 360 Challenge, F430 Challenge, 458 Challenge, 458 Challenge Evo, 488 Challenge, 488 Challenge Evo and currently the 296 Challenge. One-Design
One-design racing is a racing method which may be adopted in sports using complex equipment, whereby all vehicles have identical or very similar designs or models, avoiding the need for a Handicapping, handicap system. Motorsport One-make racing series (also known as spec racing series) are racing series in which all competitors race with identical or very similar vehicles from the same manufacturer and suppliers. Typically, this means the same type of chassis, powertrain, tyres, brakes, and fuel are used by all drivers. The idea behind one-make car racing is that success will be based more on driver skill and Racing setup, car setup, instead of engineering skill and budget. Yas Marina Circuit
The Yas Marina Circuit (Arabic: حلبة مرسى ياس) is a 5.281 km (3.281 mi) motorsport circuit situated on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The circuit was designed by Hermann Tilke. It has hosted the season-ending Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix since 2009. Yas Marina was the second of four Formula One tracks in the Middle East, with the first being in Bahrain International Circuit, Bahrain and subsequent tracks in Losail International Circuit, Qatar and Jeddah Corniche Circuit, Saudi Arabia. A two-day GP2 Asia Series test was held to officially open the circuit, which was held a week before the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Adam Norman Carroll (born 26 October 1982) is a British professional racing driver. He last raced in the 2016–17 Formula E season for Jaguar Racing. He has also raced for A1 Team Ireland, Team Ireland in A1 Grand Prix, winning the series in 2008–09 A1 Grand Prix season, 2009. The 2019 Finali Mondiali was the 2019 edition of the season-ending event for all Ferrari Challenge championships. Christophe Hurni (born 1 December 1962, Switzerland) is a Swiss people, Swiss auto racing, racing driver. Biography Hurni started racing at 21, competing in the ''FFSA Academy, Volant Elf'' talent search at Circuit Paul Ricard in 1983 and making the finals alongside Jean Alesi and eventual winner Éric Bernard. Fabienne Wohlwend (born 7 November 1997) is a List of female racing drivers, racing driver from Liechtenstein who competed in the W Series (championship), W Series. Biography Formula 4 Wohlwend entered car racing in 2016, having been successful in junior karting in Liechtenstein and Switzerland. She debuted in the Italian F4 Championship with Aragón Racing, before a mid-season switch to Target Racing, DR Formula. Nicklas Nielsen
Nicklas Ganshorn Nielsen (born 6 February 1997) is a Danish racing driver who competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Ferrari AF Corse, driving a Ferrari 499P in the Hypercar class. Autodromo Nazionale Monza
The Monza Circuit ( Italian: ; ) is a race track near the city of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy. Built in 1922, it was the world's third purpose-built motor racing circuit after Brooklands and Indianapolis and the oldest in mainland Europe. The circuit's biggest event is the Italian Grand Prix. The 2018 Finali Mondiali was the 2018 edition of the season-ending event for all Ferrari Challenge championships. Held at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Italy, the event saw drivers from the Asia-Pacific, European and North American championships take part. The headline Trofeo Pirelli Pro/Pro-Am race was marred by a 14-car crash at the original start, causing a red flag and shortening the race.
