Ferencvárosi Torna Club is a Hungarian team handball club from Budapest, that plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I. The current name of the club is Ferencvárosi TC-Green Collect due to sponsorship reasons. History Early history The men's handball department of the Ferencvárosi Torna Club, as well as the women's handball team, were founded in 1950. The history of Nemzeti Bajnokság I began in 1954, with significant initial successes. In 1955, they won a silver medal. In 1956, they were able to celebrate a shared championship title, although no gold medal was awarded, as the announcement of the result of the final against Vörös Meteor in October 1956, which was rigged due to political pressure, was first washed away by the popular anger of the fans, and then the match, which was called for a replay after the warning, was thwarted by the revolution. The EHF European League is an annual men's handball club competition organised by the European Handball Federation (EHF) since 1981. It is the second-tier competition of European club handball, ranking only below the EHF Champions League. Veszprém KC is a Hungarian professional handball club from Veszprém, that for sponsorship reasons is called ONE Veszprém. Veszprém plays in the Hungarian Nemzeti Bajnokság I (men's handball), Nemzeti Bajnokság I and are the most successful team in the country, having won the Hungarian Championship a record 28 times and the Hungarian Cup title a record 31 times. Veszprém has also won the regional SEHA League 5 times.
