Fenerbahçe S.K. (women's Volleyball)
Fenerbahçe Women's Volleyball, commonly known as Fenerbahçe and officially known as Fenerbahçe Medicana for commercial reasons, are the professional women's volleyball department of Fenerbahçe SK, a major Turkish multi-sport club based in Istanbul, Turkey. They play their matches at the 7.000-seated Burhan Felek Sport Hall. Fenerbahçe compete in the Turkish Women's Volleyball League, which is considered to be one of the best and most competitive leagues in the world. Founded in 1928, Fenerbahçe are one of the best volleyball teams in Turkey and in the world. They were crowned World Champions by winning the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship undefeated in 2010, thus achieving the first Intercontinental Quadruple ever in Turkish volleyball history, after having won the Turkish League, Turkish Cup, and the Turkish Super Cup in 2010. TVF Burhan Felek Sport Hall ( tr, Burhan Felek Spor Salonu) is a volleyball arena located in Üsküdar district of Istanbul, Turkey and reopened on 19 November 2010. Uralochka-NTMK (russian: «Уралочка-НТМК») is a Russian women's volleyball club based in Yekaterinburg and currently plays in the Super League, the top Russian league. It was established in 1966 and is the most successful club in the USSR and Russian women's volleyball combined history with 25 national championship titles (11 Soviet and 14 Russian). The European Volleyball Confederation (french: Confédération Européenne de Volleyball or ''CEV'') is the continental governing body for the sports of indoor volleyball, beach volleyball, and snow volleyball in Europe. RC Cannes
RC Cannes is a French women's volleyball club based in Cannes and playing in the Ligue AF. History was created as a sports club in 1922 and the volleyball department was introduced in 1942. Originally it had both men and women's teams until 1948 when the men's team was dissolved. The club played in regional and lower national leagues and when the national league was restructured in 1967, it gained a place in the elite league. The club proved to be competitive and after finishing second in 1972, it qualified for the first time to play in a European competition (Cup Winners Cup). In 1993, Chinese coach Yan Fang was hired and the club became very successful.
