Edward Felten
Edward William Felten (born March 25, 1963) is an American computer scientist. At Princeton University, he served as the Robert E. Kahn Professor of Computer Science and Public Affairs, as well as being director of the Center for Information Technology Policy from 2007 to 2015 and from 2017 to 2019. In the Obama administration, he served as chief technologist of the Federal Trade Commission from 2011 to 2012 and as deputy chief technology officer of the United States from 2015 to 2017. Felten retired from Princeton University in July 2021. Felten has done a variety of computer security research, including work on proof-carrying authentication and work on security related to the Java programming language, but he is perhaps best known for his paper on the Secure Digital Music Initiative (SDMI) challenge. The Diamonds are a Canadian vocal quartet that rose to prominence in the 1950s and early 1960s with 16 ''Billboard'' hit records. The original members were Dave Somerville (lead), Ted Kowalski (tenor), Phil Levitt (baritone), and Bill Reed (bass). They were most noted for interpreting and introducing rhythm and blues vocal group music to the wider pop music audience. Major Felten, also "Felton" (March 19, 1904 – November 1975) was an American visual artist and illustrator. He produced modernism style designs in charcoal drawings and other media. Early life Felten was born March 19, 1904 in Canaan, Connecticut. He spent much of his life in Darien, Connecticut. Career Felten became known for his posters and book illustrations during the 1930s to 1950s. Kent Olle Felten (born 28 October 1953) is a Swedish politician and former member of the Riksdag for the Sweden Democrats and then Alternative for Sweden. Felten is an entrepreneur in Norrköping. He was a member of the Moderate Party before joining the Sweden Democrats. He served as a councilor and a member of the SD's executive board in Vadstena municipality and was also a member of the City Council of Norrköping Municipality. Felten was elected to parliament as a Sweden Democrats MP during the 2014 Swedish general election. Yury Felten
Georg Friedrich Veldten, russified as Yury Matveyevich Felten (; 1730–1801) was a Russian Imperial architect who served at the Empress Catherine the Great's court. Yury Felten was born Georg Veldten, into a family of German immigrants to Russia. His father worked for the Russian Academy of Sciences. Young Yury Felten studied on a Russian State scholarship at the Gymnasium of the Academy of Sciences. In 1744, after the death of his father, Felten moved to Germany. From 1744 to 1749 he studied at Tübingen University, but his financial and personal situation prompted him to move back to St. Petersburg. Felten wrote a letter to Empress Elizabeth, and she extended her hospitality and a scholarship, so he completed his studies at the Russian Academy, graduating in 1752 as an architect.
