Corinne Faut (born 10 May 1960) is a Belgian general. From 2009 to 2014, she was Director General of the Royal Higher Institute for Defence (), the highest military academy of the Belgian Army. She was promoted to Brigadier general in 2014. She was also appointed Director General of the Defense Communications Directorate. She graduated in 1982 with a master's degree in aeronautical and military sciences from the Royal Military Academy. She worked in the staff of the Air Force on Human resources and on the long-term vision for the armed forces. She was appointed Lieutenant Colonel of the Air Force in December 2000. Ernest Faut (27 January 1879 – 17 October 1961) was a Flemish - Belgian painter. He was a draftsman, painter and lithographer of decorative works, landscapes, interiors, psychological portraits, religious scenes, churches and beguinages. Life and work Ernest Faut started his education at the Academy of Brussels with Constant Montald and also studied at the Academy of Leuven with Constantin Meunier. He was a professor for forty years (until 1944) at the Academy of Leuven, of which he later became director. Faut delivered technically very strong paintings, with a delicate and sensitive range of colors. Faut also used the chiaroscuro technique. In the 1930s, his work mainly featured symbolic scenes with a late after-effect of Art Nouveau influences. Some paintings are characterized by a hazy melancholy. Jean Anna Faut ''Winsch/Eastman(January 17, 1925 – February 28, 2023) was an American starting pitcher who played from through in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Listed at , 137 lb., she batted and threw right-handed. Jean Faut is considered by baseball historians and researchers as the greatest overhand pitcher in AAGPBL history. From 1946 through 1953, Faut set several all-time and single-season records. She compiled a lifetime record of 140–64 with a 1.23 earned run average in 235 games, registering the lowest career ERA for any pitcher in the league. Voltaire "Volly" De Faut (March 14, 1904 – May 29, 1973) was an American jazz Reed (mouthpiece)#.22Reed players.22, reed player. De Faut was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States, but his family moved to Chicago when he was six. He played with Sig Meyers in the early 1920s and then spent time in the New Orleans Rhythm Kings before joining Art Kassel. His first recordings were made with Muggsy Spanier in 1924; he recorded with Jelly Roll Morton the following year. Later in the 1920s he played with Merritt Brunies and Jean Goldkette, and played for a time in Detroit. During the early 1920s, he also played with The Bucktown Five. Around the end of the decade De Faut held several positions in Pit orchestra, theater orchestras in Chicago, and also worked as a studio musician.
