Farmington Station is a commuter rail station in Farmington, Utah, United States served by the ''FrontRunner'', Utah Transit Authority's (UTA) commuter rail train that operates along the Wasatch Front with service from Ogden in central Weber County through Davis County, Salt Lake City, and Salt Lake County to Provo in central Utah County. Description The station is located immediately west of the I-15/ US-89/Legacy Parkway (SR-67)/Park Lane ( SR-225) interchanges. The official address of the station, according to UTA is 450 N 850 West, but it is actually located at the south end of Station Parkway. Station Parkway is accessed by turning southeast off Park Lane (this section of the street is also known as North 1100 West) and then following Station Parkway through the roundabout. Legacy Parkway
Legacy Parkway (designated as State Route 67, SR-67) is an four-lane controlled-access parkway located almost completely within Davis County in the northern part of the U.S. state of Utah. The parkway travels north from Interstate 215 (I-215) in northwestern Salt Lake City to an interchange named the Wasatch Weave in Farmington with two intermediate interchanges providing access to Woods Cross and Centerville. Wetlands of the nearby Great Salt Lake and nature preserves border the western side of the parkway while the eastern side roughly parallels Union Pacific and Utah Transit Authority rail lines and I-15. Layton Station is a FrontRunner commuter rail station in Layton, Utah. It is operated by the Utah Transit Authority (UTA). Description The station is located at 150 South Main Street ( SR-126) on approximately 12.5 acres of land and is easily accessed from I-15 by way of the new Layton Parkway interchange. The station is near the south end of Layton's historic downtown area, which had suffered from a hard-to-access location in a highly acute wedge bounded by I-15 on the northeast and the railroad tracks on the southwest. The ''Standard-Examiner'' is a daily morning newspaper published in Ogden, Utah. With roughly 30,000 subscribers on Sunday and 25,000 daily, it is the third largest daily newspaper in terms of circulation in Utah, after ''The Salt Lake Tribune'' and the ''Deseret News''. It was acquired by Sandusky Newspapers, Inc. of Sandusky, Ohio, on March 23, 1994. History On January 1, 1888, the first edition of the ''Ogden Standard'' was published. Davis County Windstorm Of December 2011
A high wind storm which began early in the morning of December 1, 2011, reached wind speeds as high as in Centerville, Utah, United States and surrounding cities. Fruit Heights, a neighborhood just from the Utah State Capitol, saw gusts of up to during the event. Damage was reported throughout Davis County, and extending into Weber and Salt Lake counties, ranging from Ogden down to Salt Lake City. That morning Mayor Ron Russell of Centerville declared a local state of emergency. Due to the extensive damage, Davis County declared a state of emergency later that evening. The windstorm extended throughout the Western United States, with power outages and structural damage also reported in California and Nevada. Station Park is a transit-oriented development located in Farmington, Utah, United States. It borders the Farmington FrontRunner station. Centercal Properties developed and currently maintains Station Park. Amenities include approximately 100 stores, a fountain that is synchronized to music and lights, an ice skating rink, a Hyatt Place hotel and a Cinemark theatre.
