Farm to Market Road 734 (FM 734) is a farm-to-market road in Travis and Williamson counties in the U.S. state of Texas. It is the state-maintained portion of Parmer Lane, a major arterial road in the region. Most of the route's length is located just within the northern city limits of Austin, with portions located in Cedar Park, Leander, and unincorporated areas. Route description The southern terminus of FM 734 is at US 290, just west of Manor in Travis County. It travels northwest to intersect with Interstate 35 (I-35). It continues to Loop 1 and crosses SH 45 and RM 620 in northwest Austin before reaching its northern terminus at RM 1431 in Cedar Park. The roadway continues beyond RM 1431 as Ronald W. Jarrell, Texas
Jarrell is a city in Williamson County, Texas, United States. The total population is 1,753 according to the 2020 census. The city is north of Georgetown and from Round Rock, as well as being incorporated within the Greater Austin statistical metropolitan area. History Founded in 1909 by real estate developer O.D. Jarrell, along with E. C. Haeber, the town was settled at the intersection of an old stagecoach road and the Bartlett Western Railroad that was under construction. Soon after the railroad was completed, a saloon, two stores, a post office, and a bank were built. Because of the proximity of Jarrell to the railroad, Jarrell received all of the people and most of the buildings of nearby Corn Hill, Texas, thus killing that town. Route description The western terminus of RM 1431 is in Llano County, at an intersection with SH 261 along the southwestern shore of Lake Buchanan. State Highway 45 is a freeway loop around Austin, Texas, that exists in two open segments. The official designation of SH 45 is such to form a complete loop around Austin, a distance of roughly . One segment is in southwest Austin and runs southeast from Ranch to Market Road 1826 to Farm to Market Road 1626 and intersects the southern terminus of Loop 1 (Mopac Expressway). Between RM 1826 and Loop 1, the roadway is a divided four-lane facility with a wide median intended to accommodate a future freeway, after which the current lanes would serve as frontage roads. Between Loop 1 and FM 1626, the roadway becomes a tolled freeway.
