''Family Force 5's Christmas Pageant'' is the first and final Christmas album by the Christian crunk rock band Family Force 5. It was released on October 6, 2009. It was announced on August 29 by the band at the Christian music festival En Fuego that they had just finished recording the CD. Reception Andrew Greenhalgh of Soul-Audio.com said the following about the album; "Family Force 5 has done what they do best, remaining true to themselves while crafting a truly enjoyable Christmas album. They retain the best of the covers and imbue things with a festive spirit that's all their own. And best of all? It'll be great to dance to at all those Christmas parties you'll have to attend this year." Family Force 5
FF5 (formerly known as Family Force 5, The Phamily, Ground Noise and The Brothers) is an American Christian rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. The band was formed in 2004 by brothers Solomon "Soul Glow Activatur" Olds, Joshua "Fatty" Olds, and Jacob "Crouton" Olds along with their two friends, Nathan "Nadaddy" Currin and Brad "20 Cent" Allen, who was later replaced by Derek "Chapstique" Mount. The group has released five studio albums, nine EPs, and two remix albums. They are often noted for their raucous, party-centric personae and eclectic mix of genres, ranging from rap metal to dance-pop. In 2018, the remaining two members, Jacob and Joshua Olds, re-branded the group as FF5 and released the EP ''El Compadre'' on March 2 of that year. Mac Powell (born Johnny Mac Powell; December 25, 1972), originally from Clanton, Alabama, United States, is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and musician who formed the Christian rock band Third Day with guitarist Mark Lee, with both of them being the only continuous members of the band prior to their disbandment in 2018. Powell also delves into country music, having released several independent country albums. As of 2021, he continues his career in Christian music as a solo artist. Powell won ''Male Vocalist of the Year'' at the Gospel Music Association's 2002 Dove Awards. The 41st Annual GMA Dove Awards presentation was held on April 21, 2010 recognizing accomplishments of musicians for the year 2009. The show was held at The Opry Entertainment Complex in Nashville, Tennessee, and was hosted by Bart Millard. Nominations were announced on February 18, 2010 during a press conference at Belmont University's Curb Café in Nashville, Tennessee. Parachute Music Festival
Parachute Music Festival was a Christian music festival held annually in New Zealand between 1992 - 2014. Originally starting in Waikanae, the event moved to Matamata in 1995, and then finally to Mystery Creek Events Centre, Hamilton, New Zealand where it was held from 2004 - 2014. The three-day festival was run by Parachute Music, and ran annually in late January, on the weekend before Auckland Anniversary Day. The event was one of the largest Christian music festivals outside of the United States and it was one of the largest multi-day festivals in the Southern Hemisphere. As well as musicians, it also featured guest speakers. About Parachute Music Festival attracted around 25,000 people each year. The largest crowd came in 2007, with 27,813 attendees. Remedy Drive is an American alternative rock band founded in 1998 in Lincoln, Nebraska. They are now based in Nashville. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist David Zach, alternating bassists Philip Zach and Dave Mohr, and alternating drummers Timmy Jones and Chris Sooter (with an extended appearance by Nashville-based drummer Tim Buell and occasional appearances by other drummers including Michael Sturd and Zach Hunter).
