FIVB Men's Volleyball Challenger Cup
The FIVB Men's Volleyball Challenger Cup is an international volleyball competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The first tournament was played between 20 and 24 June 2018 in Matosinhos, Portugal. The Portugal team won the inaugural edition, defeating Czech Republic counterpart in the final and qualified for the 2019 Nations League. History The tournament was first announced in October 2017 (alongside the announcement of the Nations League) as a joint project between the FIVB, the IMG and 21 national federations. The Challenger Cup serves as a qualifying tournament for the aforementioned Nations League. The 2018 FIVB Men's Volleyball Challenger Cup was the inaugural edition of the FIVB Men's Volleyball Challenger Cup, a new annual men's international volleyball tournament contested by six national teams that acts as a qualifier for the FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League. The tournament was held in Matosinhos, Portugal from 20 to 24 June 2018. Portugal won the title, defeating Czech Republic in the final, and earned the right to participate in the 2019 Nations League replacing South Korea, the last placed challenger team after the 2018 edition. The 2022 FIVB Men's Volleyball Challenger Cup was the third edition of the FIVB Men's Volleyball Challenger Cup, an annual men's international volleyball tournament contested by eight national teams that acts as a qualifier for the FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League. The tournament was held at Jamsil Students' Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea, between 28 and 31 July 2022. Four teams made their first appearance in the men's Challenger Cup in this edition: the host South Korea, Australia, Qatar and Tunisia. Cuba won the title, defeating Turkey in the final, and earned the right to participate in 2023 Nations League replacing Australia, the last placed challenger team after the 2022 edition. 2022 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League
The 2022 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League was the fourth edition of the FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League, an annual men's international volleyball tournament. The competition was held between 7 June to 24 July 2022, and the final round took place in Unipol Arena, Bologna, Italy. Australia were the last placed challenger team after the preliminary round and will be replaced by 2022 Challenger Cup winners Cuba in the 2023 edition. France won their first VNL title after defeating the United States in five sets. It was the United States' second silver medal. 2021 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League
The 2021 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League was the third edition of the FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League, an annual men's international volleyball tournament. The 2021 version of VNL was scheduled to start earlier than the previous edition due to the 2020 Summer Olympics in July. The competition was held between May and June 2021, and the final round took place in Rimini Fiera, Rimini, Italy. Brazil claimed their first VNL title after beating Poland in four sets. France swept Slovenia in three sets and grabbed the bronze medal. Both Wallace de Souza from Brazil and Bartosz Kurek from Poland named as MVPs of the tournament. Linyi () is a prefecture-level city in the south of Shandong province, China.
