FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2023 – Men's Downhill
The men's downhill competition at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2023 was held at L’Éclipse (ski course), L'Éclipse ski course in Courchevel, France, on Sunday, 12 February. Switzerland's Marco Odermatt won the gold medal, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde of Norway took the silver, and the bronze medalist was Cameron Alexander (alpine skier), Cameron Alexander of Canada. The race course was in length, with a vertical drop of from a starting elevation of above sea level. Courchevel
Courchevel () is a French Alps ski resort located in the Tarentaise Valley. It is a part of Les Trois Vallées, the largest linked ski areas in the world. He was the world champion in super-G, as the gold medalist in 2019 at Åre, Sweden. Mattia Casse (born 19 February 1990) is an Italian World Cup alpine ski racer. Born in Moncalieri in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy, he specializes in the speed events ( Downhill and Super-G) and has competed in four World Championships. Erik Trolle (or Erik Arvidsson) (c. 1460–1530) was elected regent of Sweden in 1512, during the era of Kalmar Union. He was Justiciar of Närke and a Lord High Councillor of Sweden from 1487.
