Extra (Australian TV Program)
''Extra'' (originally ''Brisbane Extra'') was a nightly tabloid local current affairs program, broadcast on Nine Network Queensland. Heather Foord was the last host of the program. A weekend version also aired on a Saturday afternoon named ''Weekend Extra'' hosted by Melissa Downes. ''Nine News'' (stylised ''9News'') is the national news service of the Nine Network in Australia. Its flagship program is the hour-long 6:00 pm state bulletin, produced by Nine's owned-and-operated stations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Darwin. National bulletins also air on weekday mornings, weekend afternoons and most nights of the week after 10:30pm. ''Millionaire Hot Seat'', also known as ''Hot Seat'', is an Australian television quiz show. The show is a spin-off of ''Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?'' and began airing on the Nine Network on 20 April 2009. As with the original Australian version of the show, it is hosted by Eddie McGuire, and it follows a similar format. ''This Afternoon'' (stylised as ''THIS afternoon'') is a short-lived Australian news and current affairs television program that was broadcast by the Nine Network. It was produced by the network and broadcast live from 4:30pm to 5:30pm weekdays for two-and-half weeks in mid-2009. The program focused on news, sport, weather and entertainment and featured current affairs reports and interviews. The program was presented by Andrew Daddo, radio presenter and journalist Katrina Blowers and news presenter Mark Ferguson. ''Nine News'' reporters from around the country and overseas provided reports on news and entertainment. On 15 July 2009, the Nine Network cancelled ''This Afternoon'' after 12 airings due to poor ratings. The Seven Network (commonly known as Channel Seven or simply Seven) is a major Australian commercial free-to-air television network. It is owned by Seven West Media Limited, and is one of five main free-to-air television networks in Australia. The network's headquarters are located in Sydney.
