Eastside Preparatory School is an independent school for upper and middle school students. It is located in Kirkland, Washington, US. It is a secular, coed, college-preparatory school for grades 5– 12. The Head of School is Dr. Terry Macaluso. History Eastside Prep was founded in May 2002 by a group of parents and educators seeking more school choice, with a focus on interdisciplinary work and strategic thinking. Dr. Terry Macaluso, previously Head of School at Lakeside School, was a consultant to the founders and subsequently became the Head of School at Eastside Prep. The school opened its doors in September 2003 with 16 students in grades 6 and 7, along with 3 full-time and 1 part-time faculty. Eastside Prep graduated its first class of students in 2009. Kirkland is a city in King County, Washington, United States. The ''FIRST'' LEGO League Challenge (formerly known as ''FIRST'' LEGO League) is an international competition organized by ''FIRST'' for elementary and middle school students (ages 9–14 in the United States and Canada, 9–16 elsewhere). FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), formerly known as FIRST Vex Challenge, is a robotics competition for students in grades 7–12 to compete head to head, by designing, building, and programming a robot to compete in an alliance format against other teams.
