The Executive Council (Commonwealth countries), Executive Council of New Brunswick (), informally and more commonly, the Cabinet of New Brunswick (), is the Cabinet (government), Cabinet of the Provinces and territories of Canada, Canadian province of New Brunswick. Almost always made up of members of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, though not necessarily so, New Brunswick's Cabinet is similar in structure and role to the federal Cabinet of Canada, while being smaller in size. As federal and provincial responsibilities and areas of jurisdiction differ, there are a number of different portfolios between the federal and provincial governments. For example, education being a provincial domain, New Brunswick has a Minister of Education, while the federal Cabinet would not. Louise Imbeault
Louise Imbeault , born November 10, 1948 in Moncton is a Canadian journalist, women's rights advocate, and the 33rd lieutenant governor of New Brunswick, since January 22, 2025. On November 15, 2024, Imbeault's appointment by Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada (representing Charles III, Monarchy of Canada, King of Canada), on the advice of Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, as the lieutenant governor was announced. Prior to her appointment as lieutenant governor, she worked for Radio-Canada for over 30 years, during which she became director of ''Radio-Canada Atlantique'', later renamed ''Radio-Canada Acadie'', in 1996. During the 1984 and 1986 UNESCO general conferences, she served as the Canadian representative on the Women's Rights Commission. In June 2018, she became the chancellor of the Université de Moncton. She received the Order of New Brunswick in 2018, as well as the Order of Canada in 2023. References

John Herron (born October 21, 1964) is a Canadian politician and former Red Tory, and now a Blue Liberal, who served as the Progressive Conservative member of Parliament (MP) for the riding of Fundy Royal from 1997 to 2004.
