European Boys' Team Championship
The European Boys' Team Championship (Jean-Louis Dupont Trophy) is a European amateur team golf championship for men up to 18 organized by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1980 and it has been played annually since. Since the European Youths' Team Championship, for men under 22, was discontinued in 2006, due to the trend of players reaching elite level at an earlier age, the European Boys' Team Championship has been regarded as the most important junior team event in Europe outside the British Isles. Many European players on the world's leading professional golf tours have played in the event during their early careers. Shane Lowry (born 2 April 1987) is an Irish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and the PGA Tour. Vilamoura Old Course is a golf course in Vilamoura, on the Algarve in Southern Portugal. Sometimes referred to as the "Grande Dame" of the Algarve, it is owned and operated by Dom Pedro Hotels & Golf Collection, who purchased the course, along with four others in Vilamoura, in 2016. Woodhall Spa Golf Club is a private golf club in England that is located to the north of Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire. The club was founded in 1891. Golf de Chantilly is a 36-hole golf complex situated 45 km north of Paris in the town of Vineuil-Saint-Firmin, department of Oise, France. History The club, opened in 1909, sits just over a kilometer from the Château de Chantilly in the middle of a green forest, Forêt De Chantilly.
