Erik Von Frenckell
Erik von Frenckell (18 November 1887 – 13 September 1977) was a Swedish-speaking Finnish nobleman, member of the Parliament of Finland, member of the International Olympic Committee and a vice president of the International Football Association FIFA. He graduated from Dresden University of Technology on engineering in 1912. After his graduation von Frenckell returned to Finland and worked on business management. In 1917 he was elected to Helsinki City Council as a member of Swedish People's Party. During the 1918 Finnish Civil War von Frenckell fought for the White Guard. Grand Duchy Of Finland
The Grand Duchy of Finland was the predecessor state of modern Finland. It existed from 1809 to 1917 as an Autonomous region, autonomous state within the Russian Empire. Originating in the 16th century as a titular grand duchy held by the Monarchy of Sweden, King of Sweden, the country became autonomous after its annexation by Russia in the Finnish War of 1808–1809. Vivica Bandler
Vivica Aina Fanny Bandler (5 February 1917 – 30 July 2004) was a Finnish theatre director and agronomist. She bought a theatre (''Lilla Teatern'') in Helsinki in 1955 and is credited for popularizing avant-garde Finnish theatre. She was also theatre director in Oslo (1967-69) and at the Stockholm City Theatre (1969-1979). Early life and education Vivica von Frenckell was born in Helsinki, Finland, in 1917. She was the daughter of Helsinki Mayor Erik von Frenckell and theatre historian Ester-Margaret Lindberg. She studied agronomy, graduating in 1943. She then maintained her family home, Saari Manor, a historic home located in Tammela, Finland. She served in the Lotta Svärd during World War II and married Austrian Kurt Bandler in 1943; they divorced in 1963.
