Eric Bell
Eric Robin Bell (born 3 September 1947) is a Northern Irish rock and blues musician, best known as a founding member and the original guitarist of the rock group Thin Lizzy, of which he was a member from 1969 to 1973. After his time in Thin Lizzy, he briefly fronted his own group before joining the Noel Redding Band in the mid-1970s. He has since released several solo albums and performs regularly with a blues-based trio, the Eric Bell Band. The Noel Redding Band (also known as The Clonakilty Cowboys after the title of its first album, ''Clonakilty Cowboys'') was an English-Irish folk rock Supergroup (music), supergroup that was formed in Clonakilty, County Cork, in 1974. David Patrick Clarke (born January 28, 1948) is an American singer, guitarist and keyboard player. He was a member of The Noel Redding Band in the 1970s. In 1994, he became a member of The Kast Off Kinks, and has been ever since. Biography Dave Clarke was born on January 28, 1948. Clarke started playing piano at the age of 4 and guitar at 9. His first record in 1963 (at the age of 15) was produced by Luigi Creatore at New York's Roulette Records. Often confused with his Dave Clark Five namesake, his 1971 solo album ''Pale Horse'' saw him temporarily renamed as Dave Carlsen. The album featured Keith Moon and Noel Redding. Noel Redding
Noel David Redding (25 December 1945 – 11 May 2003) was an English rock musician, best known as the bass player for the Jimi Hendrix Experience and guitarist/singer for Fat Mattress. Following his departure from the Experience in 1969 and the dissolution of Fat Mattress in 1970, Redding formed the short-lived group Road (American band), Road in the United States, which released the self-titled album ''Road (Road album), Road'' before he re-located to Clonakilty, Ireland, in 1972. There he formed the Noel Redding Band with former Thin Lizzy guitarist Eric Bell, with whom he released two albums. Although by the 1980s Redding had largely removed himself from the music business, he would later perform around his new hometown with wife Carol Appleby. Robert William Gary Moore (4 April 19526 February 2011) was a Northern Irish musician. Over the course of his career, he played in various groups and performed a range of music including blues, blues rock, hard rock, Heavy metal music, heavy metal and jazz fusion. Influenced by Peter Green (musician), Peter Green and Eric Clapton, Moore began his career in the late 1960s when he joined Skid Row (Irish band), Skid Row, with whom he released two albums. "The Rocker" is a song by Irish rock group Thin Lizzy, included on their 1973 album ''Vagabonds of the Western World''. It was also released as a single in a 2:41 edited format; the original album track stretched to 5:17, with most of the extra length being taken up by an extended guitar solo by Eric Bell. There is an accompanying performance on Dutch TV programme ''TopPop'' to the song which features Gary Moore recorded in 1974 during his first of two spells with the band. The B-side of the single in most territories was the album track "Here I Go Again", but in Germany the non-album track, "A Ride in the Lizzy Mobile", was used. This track later appeared on the four-CD box set ''Vagabonds Kings Warriors Angels'' as "Cruising in the Lizzy Mobile". "Whiskey in the Jar" ( Roud 533) is an Irish traditional song set in the southern mountains of Ireland, often with specific mention of counties Cork and Kerry. The song, about a rapparee (highwayman) who is betrayed by his wife or lover, is one of the most widely performed traditional Irish songs and has been recorded by numerous artists since the 1950s. The song first gained wide exposure when Irish folk band the Dubliners performed it internationally as a signature song and recorded it on three albums in the 1960s.
