Enric Prat De La Riba
Enric Prat de la Riba i Sarrà (; 29 November 1870 – 1 August 1917) was a Catalan politician, lawyer and writer. He was a member of the , where one of the earliest definitions of Catalan nationalism was formulated. He became the first President of the Commonwealth of Catalonia on 6 April 1914 and retained this office until his death. He wrote the book and political manifesto '' La nacionalitat catalana'' in which greater autonomy to Catalonia was advocated. He died in 1917 and is interred in the Montjuïc Cemetery in Barcelona. Enric Morera I Viura
Enric Morera i Viura (; 22 May 1865 – 11 March 1942) was a Catalan musician and composer from Spain. Career Morera was born in Barcelona but moved with his father, a musician, to Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1867, studying organ, trumpet, and violin there. He returned in 1883 to Barcelona, studying with Isaac Albéniz and Felip Pedrell. Later he lived for two years in Brussels before returning to Argentina. He finally returned to Barcelona in 1890 where he was prominent in the movement Catalan Musical Modernism, with for example the opera ''La fada'' (The Fairy) in 1897. He founded the choir "Catalunya Nova". He wrote books on musical theory such as a "Practical Treatise on Harmony". Among his students were Vicente Asencio, Agusti Grau, Manuel Infante, Xavier Montsalvatge and Carlos Surinach. Enric Miralles Moya (12 February 1955 – 3 July 2000) was a Spanish architect from Barcelona. He graduated from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in 1978. After establishing his reputation with a number of collaborations with his first wife Carme Pinós; the couple separated in 1991. Miralles later married fellow architect Benedetta Tagliabue, and the two practiced together as EMBT Architects. Miralles' largest and most controversial project, the Scottish Parliament Building, was unfinished at the time of his death. Enric Marco Batlle (12 April 1921 – 21 May 2022) was a Catalan impostor who claimed to have been imprisoned by Nazi Germany in the Flossenbürg concentration camp during World War II. Born in Barcelona, Marco had volunteered to go to Germany as a foreign worker and was never interned in a concentration camp. Following the Spanish transition to democracy, after a brief time serving as the general secretary of the National Confederation of Labour (CNT), Marco gained recognition for his stories of surviving the Holocaust. He was awarded the Creu de Sant Jordi by the Catalan government and became president of the , an organisation of Spanish victims of Nazism. In 2005, he was exposed as an impostor and forced to resign his post and renounce his awards. Madriguera (17 February 1902 – 7 September 1973) was a violinist of Catalan people, Catalan origin who was playing concerts as a child before he studied at the Barcelona Conservatory (the Castilian Spanish, Castilian form of his name is Enrique, which he sometimes used on records).
