Eliška Junková-Khásová (born Alžběta Pospíšilová; 16 November 1900 – 5 January 1994), also known as Elisabeth Junek, was a Czech automobile racer. She is regarded as one of the most significant drivers in Grand Prix motor racing history, and was the first woman to win a Grand Prix event. Eliška Krásnohorská
Eliška Krásnohorská (18 November 1847, in Prague – 26 November 1926, in Prague) was a Czech feminist author. She was introduced to literature and feminism by Karolína Světlá. She wrote works of lyric poetry and literary criticism, however, she is usually associated with children's literature and translations, including works by Pushkin, Mickiewicz and Byron. Krásnohorská wrote the libretti for four operas by Bedřich Smetana: '' The Kiss'', '' The Secret'', '' The Devil's Wall'' and ''Viola''. She also wrote the libretto for Zdeněk Fibich's opera ''Blaník''. In 1873, she founded the women's magazine '' Ženské listy'', which she headed until handing it over to Jindřiška Flajšhansová in 1912. Eliška Misáková
(awarded posthumously) Eliška Misáková (12 October 1926 in Kojetice – 14 August 1948 in London) was a Czech gymnast who was selected to attend the 1948 Summer Olympics. Misáková was born in Kojetice, in the Třebíč District of Vysočina. Her parents both died before her in 1948. She was diagnosed with poliomyelitis soon after arrival in London, and isolated in a local hospital ward, with access to an iron lung. Her place on the team was taken by Věra Růžičková. Misáková died during the competition, after four days in the Uxbridge Isolation Hospital. The Czechoslovak team, including her sister Miloslava, went on to earn the gold medal.
