Eiler Rasmussen Eilersen (1 March 1827 – 24 April 1912) was a Danish landscape painter. Biography Rasmussen Eilersen was born at Østerby, Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality, Denmark. His father, Rasmus Eilersen (1788-1869), was a farmer and the local parish constable (').Ph. Marcella "Sali" Grace Eiler (September 30, 1987 – September 15, 2008) was an American social activist from Eugene, Oregon, who was raped and murdered in Mexico two weeks before her 21st birthday. For the last three years of her life, she had been living and working intermittently in Oaxaca's provincial capital, Oaxaca de Juárez, as a dance teacher and social activist, and acted as an observer for an indigenous rights organization. Eiler's body was found on September 24, 2008, near the Oaxaca town of San José del Pacifico, where she had arrived to dance at a fundraiser. Newspapers reported that after Mexico City resident Omar Yoguez Singu admitted that he had killed Eiler with a machete, citizens oversaw his delivery into police custody. He was found guilty of murder and is serving his sentence in a Oaxacan prison. Eiler Larsen (March 27, 1890 – March 19, 1975) was a Danish-born vagabond who was known as "The Greeter" of Laguna Beach, California. From the 1940s until the early 1970s, the shaggy-haired, heavily-bearded Larsen grinning, waving, and booming "Halloo-oo-oo!" to visitors became a cultural icon for Laguna Beach tourists. Larsen wandered in Europe, South America and across the United States before settling in Laguna at age 52. He worked as an occasional gardener, and adopted the daily habit of standing on a street corner to greet every car and passerby. Local patrons supported him with a rent-free room, free meals and other services. In 1964, Larsen was proclaimed Laguna's Official Greeter by the mayor. Ejler Andreas Christoffer Jorgensen aka Eiler Jørgensen (July 16, 1838 – December 17, 1876) was a Danish-born American landscape and portrait painter. Biography Eiler Jørgensen was born in Sømme Herred in Roskilde, Denmark. He was the eldest son of parish priest Søren Hillerup Jørgensen (1806-1847) and Conradine van Deurs (1812-1890). He was a student at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (''Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi'') in Copenhagen (1860). He relocated to the United States in 1873. He was professionally active in San Francisco in the 1870s. Jorgensen painted in Hawaii in 1875. He died in Oakland, California in 1876. The Honolulu Museum of Art holds work by Ejler Andreas Jorgensen.
