Eczacıbaşı SK men's basketball team (English: Eczacıbaşı Sports Club), commonly known as Eczacıbaşı, was the professional basketball department of Eczacıbaşı SK, a sports club based in Istanbul, Turkey. The team competed in the Turkish Basketball Super League. History The men's basketball team of Eczacıbaşı SK was established in 1968 as the basketball section of the Turkish industrial group of companies Eczacıbaşı Holding, and began to compete in the lower Turkish basketball divisions. The club soon became one of the most successful teams in Turkey, having won two times the 2. Turkish Basketball League (1974, 1991) and most importantly eight times the Turkish Basketball Super League afterwards. Eczacıbaşı also won the Presidential Cup in 1988 against Fenerbahçe. Turkish Basketball Presidential Cup
The Turkish Basketball Presidential Cup (), sometimes referred to as Turkish Basketball Super Cup, is the professional men's basketball super cup competition that takes place each year in Turkey. The competition began in the year 1985. One game is held to determine the winner of the competition. It is played between the winners of the Basketbol Süper Ligi and the winners of the Turkish Cup season. If the same team wins both the Turkish Super League and the Turkish Cup in the same season, then the competition takes place between the two league finalists from the Super League. The Turkish Basketball Second League, also called TB2L, is Turkish basketball league system, the third-tier level league of professional club basketball in Turkey. The league was previously called the Turkish Basketball Third League (TB3L). Format and promotion and relegation Regular Season Competitions, twenty-five (25) teams; are divided into one (1) group of nine (9) teams and two (2) groups (A-B-C) of eight (8) teams. The Basketball Super League (; TBSL), also known as the Türkiye Sigorta Basketbol Süper Ligi for sponsorship reasons, is the top men's professional basketball division of the Turkish basketball league system. Aydan Siyavuş
Aydan Siyavuş (15 May 1947 - 11 January 1998) was a Turkish basketball coach and former basketball player. He coached a number of teams like Kadıköyspor, Eczacıbaşı, Efes Pilsen, Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Çukurova, Darüşşafaka, Karşıyaka and Galatasaray as well as the youth, junior's university and senior national teams. He was the most successful head coach of the Turkish Super Basketball League. Private life Aydan Siyavuş was born to Ali Nazima and his wife Utarit in Istanbul on 15 May 1947. He belonged to a noble and intellectual family, which descends from the Ottoman Vizier Siyavuş Pasha. His father was a journalist, and served as executive at Galatasaray S.K. and as president at Kadıköyspor. Her mother had also served as executive at Galatasaray S.K. In November 1977, he married Nevin. He was father of two daughters, İpek and Tuğçe Siyavuş.
