Eau Claire Station
Eau Claire is a planned and approved CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada part of the Green Line. Construction is expected to begin in 2022 and complete in 2027 as the northern terminus of construction phase one. The station is named for and located in the high density urban community of Eau Claire, immediately north of downtown Calgary. The station will be underground, integrated into the future Eau Claire Market redevelopment site. Similar to Calgary's Central Library, the redeveloped market will have a tunnel portal on the north end of the building where the line will exit the station and enter an S-curved elevated guideway over Prince's Island Park. CTrain is a light rail system in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It has been in operation since May 25, 1981. The system is operated by Calgary Transit, as part of the Calgary municipal government's transportation department. The CTrain system has two routes, with a combined route length of . The neighbourhood of Eau Claire in Calgary, Alberta, Canada is located immediately north of Downtown, and south of the Bow River and north of 4th Avenue. The Calgary Central Library, also known as the Calgary New Central Library (NCL), is a public library in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and the flagship branch of the Calgary Public Library system. The building is located in the Downtown East Village neighborhood and opened on November 1, 2018, replacing an earlier central branch built in the 1960s in Downtown Calgary.
