Edward Holt Eason
Edward Holt Eason (1915 – 1999) was a pre-eminent British myriapodologist, as well as being a medical doctor and farmer, who carried out extensive taxonomic research on centipedes. Early life Eason was born in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire. He was educated at Malvern College before studying medicine at Pembroke College, Cambridge and completing medical training at University College, London. During the Second World War, he served with the Royal Army Medical Corps in India and Burma. After the war, he worked briefly as a civilian pathologist. In 1948 he married Vivian Haynes and began farming in the Cotswolds, where he raised horses and beef cattle, as well as extending a youthful interest in natural history into a lifelong study of the classification of centipedes. Mal Eason
Malcolm Wayne (Mal) Eason (March 13, 1879 – April 16, 1970) was an American starting pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the Chicago Orphans (1900–1902), Boston Beaneaters (1902), Detroit Tigers (1903) and Brooklyn Superbas (1905–1906). Eason batted and threw right-handed. He was born in Brookville, Pennsylvania. Playing career In 1901 and 1902, Eason finished with marks of 8–17 and 10–12, while pitching for second-division teams. Despite these losing records, he registered 3.59 and 2.61 earned run average, ERAs respectively. His most productive season came in 1906, when he posted a 10–17 mark with a 3.25 ERA. It was Eason's last season as an active player. That July 20, Eason No-hitter, no-hit the St. Louis Cardinals 2–0. Ursula Vernon Eason (19 August 1910 – 25 December 1993) was a BBC radio broadcaster, television producer and administrator, and a pioneer of television programmes for deaf children in the 1950s and '60s. Nicholas Eason (born May 29, 1980) is an American football coach and former defensive end who is currently the defensive tackles coach and run game coordinator at Clemson University.
