Doug Graham
Sir Douglas Arthur Montrose Graham (born 12 January 1942) is a former New Zealand politician. He was an MP from 1984 to 1999, representing the National Party. Early life and family Graham was born in Auckland, and attended Southwell School and Auckland Grammar School. In 1965 he obtained an LLB from the University of Auckland and became a lawyer, establishing his own practice in 1968. From 1973 to 1983, he lectured in legal ethics at the University of Auckland. He was chairman of the board of the Auckland Regional Orchestra from 1982 to 1983. His great-grandfather Robert Graham was a member of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th New Zealand parliaments, from 1855 to 1868. In 2008, his brother Kennedy Graham was elected to parliament representing the Green Party. His son, Carrick, is a public relations consultant. Douglas Graham (British Army Officer)
Major General Douglas Alexander Henry Graham, (26 March 1893 – 28 September 1971) was a senior British Army officer who fought with distinction in both world wars. He is most notable during the Second World War for commanding the 153rd Brigade of the 51st (Highland) Division in North Africa from 1942 to 1943, later being the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 56th (London) Infantry Division during the Salerno landings in Italy in September 1943 and the 50th (Northumbrian) Infantry Division during the Normandy landings in France in June 1944. Early life and First World War Douglas Graham was born in Angus, Brechin, Scotland, the youngest of three children, on 26 March 1893. Douglas Beresford Malise Ronald Graham, 5th Duke of Montrose KT (7 November 1852 – 10 December 1925), initially styled as the Marquess of Graham, was a Scottish nobleman, racehorse owner, soldier and the 5th Duke of Montrose. He was the son and successor of James Graham, 4th Duke of Montrose and Chief of Clan Graham. Early life Douglas Graham was born in 1852, the third and eldest surviving son of the 4th Duke of Montrose and Hon. Caroline Agnes Horsley-Beresford. His mother was a daughter of John Horsley-Beresford, 2nd Lord Decies, a grandson of Marcus Beresford, 1st Earl of Tyrone. He was educated at Eton College and succeeded his father in 1874. Career He joined the Coldstream Guards in 1872, transferred to the 5th Lancers in 1874, and retired in 1878. Doug Graham (Canadian Politician)
Doug Graham is a Canadian politician, who was elected to in the Yukon Legislative Assembly in the 2011 election. He represented the electoral district of Porter Creek North as a member of the Yukon Party caucus until his defeat in the 2016 election. He previously represented the district of Whitehorse Porter Creek West from 1978 to 1982. Before becoming a territorial legislator a second time, Graham was elected in 2009 as a city councillor in Whitehorse, carrying the highest number of votes amongst all candidates. In 2021, he ran for the Whitehorse City Council a second time, narrowly missing being elected by 22 votes. Doug Graham (Winners & Losers)
Doug Graham is a fictional character in the Australian Channel Seven drama series ''Winners & Losers'', played by Tom Wren. Doug made his debut screen appearance in the pilot episode "Covert Aggression in Netball", which was broadcast on 22 March 2011. Doug is one of the show's regular male characters. Wren was cast in the show after only working as a guest artist on other shows. Actor Stephen Phillips also auditioned for the role but he was cast as Doug's friend Zach Armstrong. Doug works a registrar at a local hospital. He is characterised as a caring and patient individual with a high sense of morality.
