Kevin O'Brien is an American novelist of thriller and suspense novels. He grew up in Chicago's North Shore, attending Sacred Heart School and New Trier East High School in Winnetka, Illinois. He studied journalism at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Seattle, Washington in 1980. He worked as a railroad inspector for several years, while writing his first novel in various hotels. His second novel, ''Only Son'', was published in 1997 and was optioned for film rights by Tom Hanks. ''Disturbed'' is a 1990 American horror film directed by Charles Winkler starring Malcolm McDowell as a psychiatrist who rapes a young woman in his care, then must deal with her vengeance-seeking daughter 10 years later. Plot Dr. Derrick Russell ( Malcolm McDowell) rapes one of the patients in his care. When the patient throws herself from the roof shortly afterward, he describes her suicide as a consequence of her depression. Ten years later, he plans to rape another patient, Sandy Ramirez (Pamela Gidley). What Russell does not know is that Sandy is the daughter of his previous victim, and she is bent on revenge. "Disturbed" is the 21st episode of the fifth season of the American television show '' Numbers''. In the episode written by series creators/executive producers Cheryl Heuton and Nicolas Falacci, skeptical Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents track an undetected serial killer while their math consultant copes with his brother's recent injury. After FBI Special Agent Don Eppes's ( Rob Morrow) injury, FBI Special Agent David Sinclair (Alimi Ballard), who was the newest member of the team at the beginning of the series, served as team leader. Falacci and Heuton also included Easter eggs from the " Pilot" and from some of the previous 99 episodes. The producers brought back one previous guest star and almost had a special guest star. Disturbed is an American heavy metal band from Chicago, formed in 1994. The band includes vocalist David Draiman, guitarist/keyboardist Dan Donegan, bassist John Moyer, and drummer Mike Wengren. Donegan and Wengren have been involved in the band since its inception, with Moyer replacing former bassist Steve "Fuzz" Kmak and Draiman replacing original lead vocalist Erich Awalt. ''Disturbed'' is the second album by Coo Coo Cal, released on September 18, 2001, through Tommy Boy Records. Most of the album was produced by Bigg Hank, though Bink, DJ Cipha Sounds, Rated X and Kay Gee of Naughty by Nature also contributed production to the album. Background The album is perhaps best known for its lead single, " My Projects", which became a minor hit on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, peaking at number 81.
