Deputy (TV Series)
''Deputy'' is an American procedural drama television series created by Will Beall. The project started development in October 2018. Fox made a put pilot commitment in January 2019 and then ordered the series May 2019. The series premiered on January 2, 2020 and consisted of thirteen episodes. In April 2020, Fox canceled the series after one season. Procedural Drama
A procedural or procedural drama is a cross-genre type of literature, film, or television program involving a sequence of technical detail. A documentary film may also be written in a procedural style to heighten narrative interest. Television programs in this genre focus on how crimes are solved, and are centered around a law enforcement agency, legislative body, or court of law. Some dramas include a lab or high-tech conference room where the main characters meet to work out the problem. Shows usually have an episodic format that does not necessarily require the viewer to have seen previous episodes. Episodes typically have a self-contained (also referred to as 'stand-alone') plot that is introduced, developed, and resolved within the same episode. Jason Austin Wiles (born April 25, 1970) is an American actor known for his role in the NBC procedural drama series ''Third Watch'' from 1999 to 2005.
