People's Democratic Party Of Afghanistan
The People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan (PDPA), ''Hezb-e dimūkrātĩk-e khalq-e Afghānistān'' was a Marxist–Leninist political party in Afghanistan established on 1 January 1965. Four members of the party won seats in the 1965 Afghan parliamentary election, reduced to two seats in 1969, albeit both before parties were fully legal. For most of its existence, the party was split between the hardline ''Khalq'' and moderate ''Parcham'' factions, each of which claimed to represent the "true" PDPA. The party originally followed leftist and Marxist–Leninist ideals. Despite its orientation, the party did not describe itself as "communist", instead using labels such as " national democratic" and "socialist". In its final years, the party gradually moved away from Marxism–Leninism and towards Afghan nationalism. Democratic People's Party (''Demokratische Volkspartei'', ''DVP'') was the name of two liberal parties in southern Germany. It is not to be confused with the ''Deutsche Volkspartei'' of 1918 which used the same abbreviation DVP. In 1863–1866 a ''Demokratische Volkspartei'' or ''Württembergische Volkspartei'' established in the Kingdom of Württemberg, a more left liberal party descending from the German Progress Party of 1861. It became the ''Deutsche Volkspartei'' (German People's Party) for the regions of Southern Germany in 1868. In 1910 this party merged with two similar parties to the Progressive People's Party, ''Fortschrittliche Volkspartei''. In 1918 it became the German Democratic Party, dissolved in 1933. Democratic People's Party (Ghana)
The Democratic People's Party is a Ghanaian political party formed in 1992 after the ban on political party activity was lifted by the Provisional National Defence Council government of Ghana. The party claims to follow the Nkrumahist tradition along with the People's National Convention (PNC), Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), National Reform Party (NRP) and the Convention People's Party (CPP). Progressive Alliance The party formed the "Progressive Alliance" with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Every Ghanaian Living Everywhere (EGLE) for the presidential election in December 1992. Their common presidential candidate was Jerry Rawlings of the NDC. This alliance continued through the 1996 elections with the party not fielding its own candidates. The Democratic People's Party (, DNP) is a populist and social conservative political party in Montenegro. History The Democratic People's Party was founded in 2015 from the former Socialist People's Party (SNP) faction led by Milan Knežević and Predrag Bulatović which left the Party and joined the Democratic Front alliance as an independent group, prior the October 2012 parliamentary election. DNP currently has four MPs in the Parliament of Montenegro elected from the list of the Democratic Front alliance on 2016 election. The Democratic People's Party is a Nigerian political party founded in 2006 by an aggrieved faction of the All Nigeria Peoples Party. The party, which has a broad political base, supports economic deregulation, human rights, and greater funding for health care and education, among other goals.
