In Thailand, as elsewhere, one can find several different gender roles, identities and diverse visual markers of masculinity and femininity. The demand for positive self-identity is growing in Thailand and support is growing. Heterosexual/Traditional Male A heterosexual male is the only sexuality, which refers not just to physical sex but gender identity as well. Note this may differ from Western ideas of heterosexual male, to which ''lesbian sex'' has been eroticized. This means he seeks a traditional Thai female, but does not accept as a sexual or marriage partner the other female gender identities listed below. Female A heterosexual female refers to the traditional female who seeks the traditional heterosexual male (''man'') in Thai society. Gender identity is the personal sense of one's own gender. Gender identity can correlate with a person's assigned sex or can differ from it. In most individuals, the various biological determinants of sex are congruent, and consistent with the individual's gender identity. Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University (PSRU.) is a university in Phitsanulok Province, Thailand. The institute was upgraded to a university on 14 June 2004. History The university was first established in 1926 as a teacher training school under the Royal Thai government's Primary School Act of 1921. King Rama VII bestowed the name Phitsanuwittayayon School and attended the opening on 7 January 1926, accompanied by Queen Ramphaiphanni. The school offered two years of training to Thai students who desired to become teachers in government schools. A separate women's teacher training institution opened in 1933, and in 1956 both were combined to create Pibulsongkram Teachers College, named for then Prime Minister Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram.
